Prequel to the little flower spirit sisters series: The Fox Spirit Is Sweet and Wild as a Military Wife [The 1970s]
Synopsis: [Revised in several places. The complete version is available only on Jinjiang.]
Regimental Commander Gu, a highly decorated soldier, was framed and passed out in a valley of gardenias. His handsome face crushed the most beautiful flowers. A sweet, rich fragrance filled his nostrils.
The man's blood stained the white gardenias red. To make him leave the flowerbed sooner, one of the flowers fed him its precious nectar.
After the man woke, his whole body was soaked in the flower's rich fragrance. Not only did he fail to return the nectar, he even touched its petals!
What a shameless lecher!
The little flower spirit Xiang Zhi took human form and set out to find the ungrateful man and take revenge.
How would she get her revenge?
She'd eat him, of course!
Broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and long legs. He'd be incredibly nourishing.
*
After surviving countless brushes with death, Gu Wenshan often dreamed of a fairy telling him he looked delicious. He cherished the tenderness and warmth of those dreams.
After his latest achievement, people around him tried to set him up with yet another woman. When he turned them down, they all said the favored son of heaven had impossibly high standards. What kind of girl could possibly tame the biggest thorn in the army's side?
When he found out that his mother had found him a country girl, he refused her again and again. Everyone in the family quarters heard about it and said it was the right call! She was just a little village girl. It was absurd to set her up with the famous Regimental Commander Gu!
One day, while on a mission, Gu Wenshan came across a thirsty young woman who had fainted. She was stunningly beautiful and had a mouth that... talked absolute nonsense.
Xiang Zhi said with complete confidence, "Thank you for saving me. When we get to the base, I'll have my husband treat you to a meal."
Gu Wenshan: "What's your husband's name?"
Xiang Zhi answered without hesitation: "Gu Wenshan."
Gu Wenshan nearly drove the jeep off the mountain road.
*
Everyone said Commander Gu's girlfriend had come after him, and plenty of people waited to see the spectacle. They knew what Commander Gu was like. If she dared cling to him, she'd be sent packing sooner or later.
This girl, with skin like jade and beauty fit for a goddess, caused a sensation across the entire base. She was both spoiled and stubborn, and it was hard to imagine her getting along with him.
But who would have guessed that Gu Wenshan would be the first to fall?
He couldn't hold back any longer.
In the steamy, enclosed bathroom, he unfastened his uniform's top button and looked down at her. "Don't know how to eat? I'll teach you."

Prequel to the little flower spirit sisters series: The Fox Spirit Is Sweet and Wild as a Military Wife [The 1970s]
As the little fox in the flower valley was going through her perilous transformation, she caught a powerful man and feasted on him to replenish her strength. She made it through the night.
Grandma said she couldn't become an immortal without repaying her debt, so she had to find the man.
But aside from the sweat that had dripped into the hollow of her neck, she couldn't remember what he looked like.
Right, she couldn't mistake his scent.
She went down the mountain and entered a temporary military base, where a group of strong men in uniform were working on a construction project.
She quietly kept an eye on the promising ones... going to one tent today, then another tomorrow... The vigorous men grew excited and restless, like male beasts competing for her favor. But she turned around and acted like she didn't know any of them.
Why wasn't any of them "him"?
*
Commander Xie discovered that the woman who'd taken his first night had appeared again.
She was innocent and sexy, and bold enough to flirt with his comrades right in front of him... all of them.
Commander Xie didn't want to let a woman like her get under his skin, but she put both her legs across his lap.
Commander Xie had planned to watch coldly from the sidelines, but now he was like a wolf king who'd won the right to choose his mate, refusing to let her get close to any other "big brothers."
Luckily, while they were dating, she was sweet and well-behaved. She gave him everything he wanted, like a fish frolicking in the water, while he was the water she couldn't live without.
But she wasn't a fish.
On the eve of Commander Xie taking her home to register their marriage, she left without hesitation.
Commander Xie went frantic. He was so stubborn he'd dig three feet into the ground to find her.
Then he saw her come back looking dejected, carrying a little cloth bundle. She got in first with an accusation, sticking out her little belly as she yelled, "A pregnant fox can't become an immortal! It's all your fault!"
Commander Xie pinned her firmly against the wall and kissed her. Now he knew how to keep the little demon who loved to torment him.
(She flirted with other men to find Commander Xie's scent. They are each other's first and only.)
(The characters from The Little Flower Spirit's Daily Life of Following Her Husband to the Army [The 1970s] make cameos. This is a sister story.) [2025/5/5 screenshot]
