The Great Nation's Presiding Judge, 1980

In her previous life, Xiao Ya was a walking ATM for her parents and younger brother. She handed over all her savings, but when she was seriously ill and bedridden, they cruelly abandoned her. All because she was a girl.

A kind stranger took her to the hospital, and people from all walks of life joined forces to save her. In that moment, she saw the true warmth and coldness of human nature.

Reborn, Xiao Ya came to her senses. This time, she would live her life well.

She broke away from her birth family and, thanks to her ability to write, became a poorly paid junior court clerk.

Together with grassroots judges, she took turns carrying the national emblem as they traveled through the mountains and across farmland, bringing court sessions to remote villages and fairness and justice to countless households.

The law was her faith. Day after day, she worked to educate farmers about the law, handle cases, and resolve disputes, from trivial everyday squabbles to bloody major crimes. From court clerk to a renowned senior judge, Judge Xiao, honored with a special national award, steadfastly upheld the scales of justice deep within her soul.

Circuit court hearings were not merely cold legal statutes. They were also a warm safeguard for the vulnerable.

As the kindness she had shown in her previous life came back to her, she too took up the baton and bravely passed that warmth on.
