A Master Forensic Pathologist Emerges From the Village [90s Crime Investigation]

Forensic expert Lin Qiushi transmigrates to the 1980s. Her stepbrother takes the job at her father's tofu factory, while her stepmother pressures her to marry a disabled man.

After transmigrating, Lin Qiushi first makes a scene until her stepbrother loses his job. Then she turns around and joins the forensic department, a post nobody wants, becoming a forensic assistant. Her stepmother is delighted and laughs, calling her a fool.

At the time, being a forensic examiner was practically synonymous with bad luck. The job had little status, and criminal investigations relied on confessions above all else.

The local leaders doubt Lin Qiushi's abilities, and the newcomer is ostracized.

Luckily, she has modern forensic knowledge. While others examine external injuries, she uses diatom tests. She identifies suspects through ABO blood types and the microscopic features of hair. She even makes a simple ultraviolet lamp to detect semen stains.

She uses all kinds of improvised methods to achieve the results of modern technology.

Later, Lin Qiushi not only takes part in criminal investigations, but also proposes creating a national database of unidentified bodies and promotes standardized procedures for modern investigations. Her work grows from solving cases to building an entire criminal investigation system.

In just three years, she goes from being a forensic assistant suspected of coasting through her job to a star case-solver. Eventually, she becomes a top-level criminal investigation expert at the Ministry of Public Security and writes Modern Forensic Techniques and Practical Case Studies, a bible for the forensic examiners who come after her.

Lin Qiushi turns the impossible into reality and transforms unsolved cases into cases backed by irrefutable evidence. Though her scalpel is cold, it lets silent victims identify their true killers.
