Leveling Up Means Getting Struck by Lightning

I

Kong Yi is a peacock with a twin brother.

Though their faces are exactly alike, their fates couldn't be more different.

His brother has extraordinary talent and powerful bloodline abilities. He's the most outstanding and brilliant genius in the peacock clan, adored by his people.

But Kong Yi's bloodline power is fading. He can't cultivate, and even his life depends on rare treasures to keep him going. Everyone looks down on him.

One day, Kong Yi saves a little black dragon on the brink of death. When the dragon wakes, he gives Kong Yi a cultivation technique that defies fate.

Kong Yi reads through it and sums it up like this: From the start, you're a weakling, and leveling up depends entirely on getting struck by lightning!

II

In the Great Thunder Tribulation Realm, cultivators face lightning tribulations when they break through in cultivation or practice alchemy and forge artifacts. These tribulations are a dreadful nuisance, yet difficult to deal with.

Until one day, a strange man appears.

He always shows up where a lightning tribulation is about to strike, wearing a black cloak and a golden mask. White hair as bright as snow can just be made out beneath it, but his voice sounds young. "I take lightning tribulations in your place. Fair rates for all. If you're interested, name your price."

To obtain the cultivation technique that could defy fate, Kong Yi makes a deal with the little dragon: ten years from now, he'll give the dragon something.

Ten years pass in a flash.

Kong Yi asks the black dragon, who's stayed by his side in the form of a bracelet: What do you want?

The little dragon coils around him and gazes straight at him, emotions surging in his eyes. "I want your heart."

Kong Yi smiles and kisses one of his horns. "Hasn't it been yours all along?"

The couple are devoted to each other in body and soul, one-on-one, no switching roles.

A huge, long fantasy progression novel!

More details to come.

Theme: Never give up lightly.
