The Young Widower

Luo Xiu's husband died the second year after they married.

His husband's family drove him out, and his eldest brother wanted to sell him to a blind man for money. With no other choice, Luo Xiu went to the old house in the village, heavily pregnant, and lived on his own.

Life in the village was hard. He was a young widower without a man to back him up, and anyone could walk all over him.

Later, he met a man who had left the military camp. He was fierce-looking and burly, but at least he could protect Luo Xiu. Half willingly, half reluctantly, Luo Xiu climbed into bed with him.

Zheng Beiqiu first saw Luo Xiu by the river, sleeves rolled up as he washed clothes. His arms were as white as lotus roots, and Zheng Beiqiu was so tempted that he took two cold baths that night.

The second time he saw Luo Xiu, Luo Xiu was already married, looking so handsome in his red wedding clothes that Zheng Beiqiu couldn't forget him.

The third time, Zheng Beiqiu climbed over Luo Xiu's wall and finally got him into bed.
