Marrying My Childhood Friend on a Whim and Going on a Dating Show

Gu Chi has had a crush on his childhood friend for years, but his friend is completely straight and already has someone he loves.

So Gu Chi keeps his feelings hidden and distances himself from Xie Zhiling.

But just as he's about to leave the country, the man comes after him, his expression cold and his eyes as dark as ink. “A Chi, I need you.”

One sentence is all it takes for Gu Chi to agree to a marriage of convenience on the spot, and even announce that he and his childhood friend are going on a dating reality show.

When he comes to his senses, Gu Chi bites his sleeve. Handsome men are my downfall!

Love and You is a brand-new reality show for married couples, featuring famous people from all walks of life, including award-winning actor Xie Zhiling, who only recently announced his marriage.

[He likes men? That's disgusting!]

[I heard it's a marriage in name only. They're just using it to cash in. You really believe it's real?]

[This sugary nonsense is so obviously manufactured. You think I'll ship them?]

But the famously aloof actor turns out to be considerate in every way. He even kneels to help Gu Chi put on his shoes, and carries him around whenever they walk.

His partner keeps saying things like, “Zhiling, don't be like that. We're friends.” “Can friends be this touchy?” “You can't touch me like that.”

The fans trashing them in the comments are left in shambles. “Actor, fine, you're allowed to be that devoted to him, but are we part of your play too?!”

After joining the dating show, Xie Zhiling seems like a completely different person. Afraid he might turn the man gay, Gu Chi lowers his eyes and confesses dejectedly, “Actually... I'm gay.”

But instead of disgust or rejection, he gets a restrained yet passionate look from the man. “Well, that's a coincidence. A Chi likes men. And I'm a man.”

Gu Chi: ??????

Is that the point?

He looks up, still a little confused, and explains in case Xie Zhiling doesn't understand. “I'm attracted to men.”

“Mm. I know. So, can we kiss?”

The man's eyes are pitch-black, his voice low and breathless. Gu Chi is so dazed by him that he ends up in bed.

When their marriage agreement expires, Gu Chi leaves a letter and runs away in the middle of the night.

“Your first love is back from abroad. And I can't have your baby (crossed out) (crossed out). I wish you happiness.”

Xie Zhiling stares at the line below, his voice icy. “If he wants to have a baby so badly, tie my husband up and bring him back.”

“Let him have as many as he wants.”
