The Succubus Turned Dark After Her Seduction Failed

A little incubus is bound to a System and learns that he's living inside a book. To keep the world from collapsing, he has to win over the Demon Realm's greatest enemy, the Holy Son Faris, and stop him from turning evil and becoming the Demon King.

The inexperienced little incubus confidently accepts this thrilling, high-stakes mission. He tries every possible way to get close to Faris and win him over, but fails again and again.

Little incubus (furious): Is this guy impotent?

System: ...Probably not?

As a new cycle begins, the little incubus starts questioning his life as a demon.

He's an incubus, yet he couldn't even seduce his very first target. His track record is a disaster. He's an embarrassment to incubi and doesn't deserve to call himself one!

Starting today, he's done being an incubus! He's done trying to win anyone over!

He's going evil too!

From then on, the little incubus goes undercover in the human realm, opposing Faris at every turn and constantly provoking him. He keeps dancing on all of Faris's sore spots, looking forward to the wickedly satisfying expression on the demon-hating Faris's face when he finally reveals who he is.

But he never imagined that after he started doing all this, Faris would start climbing into his bed.

Little incubus (sitting bolt upright in a dream): What is wrong with him?!

Faris, who was born into the Church, is a privileged darling in everyone's eyes. Proud and holy, he is a believer in the Light who despises all who have fallen into depravity. He loathes demons most of all, killing them on sight and tolerating not the slightest impurity.

He and Seraph, the beautiful but ill-tempered student at his academy, can't stand each other and are bitter rivals.

But lately, he's been having dreams he can hardly bring himself to talk about.

In the dreams, Seraph shows a completely different side of himself. He wraps Faris up in his long, heart-shaped tail, sticks out his cute little tongue, and even shows him the demonic sigils on his lower abdomen.

Seraph is an incubus!

He thought it was just an absurd dream, and that he imagined Seraph was a demon because he hated him so much.

Until one day, during a fight with Seraph, he caught a glimpse of the silver demonic sigils on his lower abdomen.

Reader's Guide:

1. A little romantic fluff! A proud, chaste-seeming Holy Son who is actually (possibly a bit of an M) a brooding, twisted obsessive when he falls for someone, attacking the sweet, innocent, carefree, and mischievous incubus.

2. Nontraditional Western fantasy + academy + rivals + incubus. A pair of twisted little lovebirds. There will definitely be plenty of people doting on the protagonist, but everyone other than the romantic partner is just a friend. One-on-one romance, happy ending.

3. A writing exercise in romantic push and pull, and a chance to create my own fantasy world.

4. The title, blurb, and character names may be improved (I'll change the names if I think of better ones for the characters), but the premise won't change. Character names are all one to three characters long.

5. The cover character design is a template, and isn't the only possible design.
