Angsty, Bittersweet, and Dark Stories
A collection of stories with good writing and rich detail. The melodrama is so gripping and heartbreaking, but by the end they’re all harmonious and lovely to read.
Who Says Love Has No Special Charm?
Love takes countless forms.
Complete Subscription Collection
Only includes novels available with a full subscription. Rated out of 10; anything below 5 isn't recommended. Updated regularly.
Angsty Novel Recommendations
I just love this kind of melodramatic angst, hehe.
Apple's Paradise
I’m not keeping track of all the books I stopped reading halfway through. I really don’t like extra chapters...
Novels Set in Ancient Times
Ancient-setting stories, including historical fiction, alternate history, and wuxia. Plot-focused, with farming and development, construction, mystery, war, jianghu stories, and more
Embroidered Rooms of Mortal Life: Historical Danmei with a Dream of the Red Chamber Vibe
Painted screens, ornate eaves, embroidered doors, fine silks: a glimpse of ancient life among halls of white jade and horses of gold.
Bottom-Led Reading List | Historical and Western Fantasy BL
I lean toward the receiving partner in BL and mainly care about how he's written. I want the giving partner to make the first move. I'm not too bothered by pretty or idealized giving partners, as long as the author doesn't imply in the narration that they want to kiss even if it means dying together. Check the comments for trigger warnings.
A Deep Dive into My Reading Preferences: Reading Logs
Entirely subjective. This is a list of stories I've skimmed, not recommendations. There's a very high chance they include sickly characters, coercion, battle damage, a white moonlight, a sense of ease, fake angst, secret identities, martyrdom, self-destruction, and similar elements.
Free Hidden Gems
Some pretty good free novels. I’m piling them up here for now; most are BL or have no CP. I’ll keep digging and write reviews little by little… (currently slacking off)
Undecided
Taking my time to savor these.
Miscellaneous Fandoms, Continuously Updated
A habitat for an omnivorous reader. I really do read everything, with no dealbreakers. My reviews are subjective! I'll also share some books others have liked in the comments. All are welcome.
Free Jinjiang Stories
Some free stories on Jinjiang. Thanks to the authors who write such great free stories. I've finished reading them, so I'm putting them here.
No Favoritism, No Playing Both Sides
I don’t like greasy, universally adored, or delicate gong characters. My niche tastes include wicked or morally corrupt shou characters. Noncon and pure romance go hand in hand.
Records
Generally, stories focused on the bottom.
Our Favorite Handsome, Strong Bottoms (Ongoing)
Feminine, handsome, burly, strong bottoms; dog, wolf, or dragon-coded bottoms. Can't stand weak tops, bottoms who top, clingy tops, submissive tops, or tops topping other tops. Ambiguous guy-guy relationships, guy-girl relationships, guy-man relationships.
Pretty Bottoms, As Long As They're Happy
Looking back at these recommendations, I really do love gorgeous, snake-like beauties. I like bottoms who are devoted only to the top, though there aren't many like that on Jinjiang.
My Fully Read Books, List 1
This list is full, so I’ve started a second one and will keep updating it there~
Seme-Focused Wish Fulfillment (Historical Setting)
Anyway, this list has tons of romance, both BL and BG, so take your pick. (List is still being updated.)
Books to Read When You're in a Slump: Boys' Love Edition
I’m badly in a reading slump. Saving books with great plots, great romance, or both, that are worth revisiting and rereading.
All Cultivation Novels
(If I'm remembering correctly)
Eclectic Reading Log (Could Rename This My Abandoned Books Log)
I don't care if the protagonist is a man, a woman, a human, or a dog. As long as I can get that irresistible protagonist vibe, I might keep reading.
What Makes Me Who I Am
2025.10.1. Personal list archive. No warnings or criticism, and no gksk, please. If there's nothing particularly annoying, it'll get five stars.
Handsome Bottoms
Handsome, strong bottoms. I love spirited, handsome male protagonists in the Qidian style, and I enjoy bizarre worldbuilding, too.

But I think the writing is very interesting. I have been very tired from work in the past two months, so some of them kept reading various novels during their escape time, but many of them could not be read. Some of them gave up after reading half of them, or fell asleep while listening to them. I was so bored that I kept searching for and collecting them for a long time. This is the short story I have read, but I actually stayed up late last night just to read it. I felt that the description really impressed me, and I really liked the characters and plot. Everyone has times when they are in a bad state or have self-doubt, but readers have sharp eyes. [Glasses]
No, [covering my face and laughing and crying], I just saw you saying that your writing is not good. Do you know that your writing is the best I have read in the past few months? [Laughing and crying], I really like your writing, I love it to death.
When will the goddess write another short story? Your short story is simply divine! ! ! [Crying] [crying] [crying]
Mu Xi Niang. . Who are you. . . The writing is so awesome [scared] I love you to death
The emperor takes turns, come to my house this year [touch your head]
Extra... Do you dare to suddenly update Chapter 10 of the extra to scare us [Three Flower Cat Head]
The article is really good. Although it's not long, it explains everything very clearly. It would be better if I could talk about the journey of junior brother's feelings for senior brother.
This book is so good... [Poor] Please give me more extras
Gone? Become an emperor?
Can you write more extras [Lop-eared Rabbit Head]
