The Escape Sacrifice Hour

The setting will probably be changed to modern times. You can decide for yourself whether to delete this or save it. [Weibo: Chang An Muxi. See the profile for completed and ongoing novels.] I Yu Guiqi, a low-level civil servant, transmigrated into a Ma Xian in Changzhou City. Some wild immortal had apparently dug out her heart and replaced it with a Yin-Yang Stele. The stele had a countdown showing how long she had left to live. Beside it was a line of tiny writing: "One hundred thousand incense offerings will buy you seven more days." Her own altar had no spirit soldiers left, and even passing immortals gave it a wide berth. She also faced three hundred competitors across the province, not to mention powerful rivals like the City God and the God of Wealth. Yu Guiqi said: "Starting from nothing and building things up? I'm an old hand at that!" II When Yu Guiqi first went out to perform her duties, she managed to save her life. Mistaking a passing ghost immortal for a kind spirit who had rescued her, she treasured him and invited him to be the stele's guardian. Afraid the immortal would leave, she began paying her respects morning and evening and showering him with sweet words, sparing no effort in showing her devotion. She charmed the immortal until he was completely dazed, without realizing it herself. Content notes: 1. Supernatural folklore and strange spirits, with a lighthearted tone. 2. The top is a god, not a ghost immortal. The bottom got it wrong. 3. Stele guardian: A ghost immortal or a powerful ghost with some cultivation. The manager of an altar, something like a general manager or military advisor. 4. This idea was noted down on 2021.07.13. Theme: Serve the people throughout the limited time we have to live.
