Check out the upcoming novel Love Curse, blurb below.
A melodramatic story, with a somewhat universally adored protagonist and more angst than the heavens can hold.
Dai Ruocheng was going to be married off to a cold-faced, fearsome woman general.
But she wasn't marrying for love. She was taking her older sister's place. Born unloved, she was a young lady in the household whom anyone could bully.
She was unlucky, too. A fortune teller said she wouldn't live long, so she was chosen and sent over.
On their wedding night, her wife in name only merely lifted her veil and questioned who she was. After spending the night together, she turned and left. Dai Ruocheng wasn't even qualified to speak with her.
Dai Ruocheng understood. She'd been abandoned again. She had been unwanted since birth.
.
Her wife, the renowned woman general He Wei, treated her with the utmost decency. The two maintained a polite relationship and acted like a loving couple in front of others, but Dai Ruocheng was still the one left behind.
Dai Ruocheng couldn't take it anymore. Dying a day earlier or later didn't make much difference, so she stopped taking her medicine and stopped holding herself back...
In the end, she collapsed into bed, her face pallid and her body lifeless. Yet there was a trace of hope in her eyes. She just couldn't understand why the general was holding her hand now, tears falling as she knelt by the bed and begged, finally showing her the love that had come too late:
"I'm sorry. Please don't leave me."
Cold-faced, stubborn woman general x insecure, sensitive young lady
- The wife-chasing gets her comeuppance, melodramatic romance
Woman general as the bottom x Miaojiang priestess as the top
Zhou Zijing was a woman general whose name inspired fear far and wide, and a lovesick fool everyone knew about.
Raised by the current High Priestess, she went from seeing her as family to falling in love with her. She would ride through the streets on horseback, proclaiming her love for the High Priestess to everyone. She was a blazing little sun, and always the High Priestess's dog.
The current High Priestess was skilled in witchcraft and coolly distant. She never rejected Zhou Zijing, but she never accepted her advances either.
She molded Zhou Zijing into the finest general and trained her to be the most obedient dog. She stood on Zhou Zijing's shoulders, making her look up at her.
The High Priestess had never loved Zhou Zijing. She watched her proclaim her love and watched her eagerly bring over what she thought were the finest gifts.
But the High Priestess never needed them. She threw all that trash away, then watched Zhou Zijing's disappointed face and fed her the venomous insects she had cultivated, again and again.
But she didn't know that love could be worn away.
.
Zhou Zijing felt she no longer loved the High Priestess. She was made to kneel outside the palace hall, wounded, listening to the laughter and merriment inside.
The High Priestess thought she was filthy, repulsed by the scars all over her body.
She was a dog nobody wanted.
She couldn't even enter the High Priestess's hall. Zhou Zijing suddenly realized that she meant nothing to the other woman. She wasn't family, only trash the High Priestess had reluctantly taken in.
Zhou Zijing understood. She never came before the High Priestess again.
When they met again, Zhou Zijing knelt in court and called out, "Your Majesty! I wish to ask for the princess's hand in marriage!"
The look she gave the High Priestess was no longer full of love. It had been replaced by indifference and estrangement.
She bowed respectfully to the High Priestess.
"Qu Chaowei, don't worry. I won't bother you anymore."
But no one expected that on the woman general's wedding night, the High Priestess would charge in with a sword. She pressed it to Zhou Zijing's throat.
"I'm here to steal the bride."
Theme: Keep discovering your potential and striving to improve
Everyone in the Empress's family is ruthless and holy. They either kill their wives or abuse them.
I've tortured the heroine for dozens of chapters, so I'd better torture her a little bit.
When we got to the finale, why didn't I see the wife-chasing crematorium? Why did the wife-chasing crematorium still have to be tortured? Do you regard shackles and handcuffs as fun? Chun-chun is sick. Chasing the wife-chasing crematorium, chasing the wife-chasing the wife. Did she chase the wife? What should I say? Chun-chun deserved it. No wonder you were abused. You were forgiven so easily.
You kid has two chapters and one knife, right?! [Question mark]
The torture was too perfunctory and unpleasant to watch, but the dog-blood is indeed pure dog-blood [Like]
It feels like there is no normal person in the whole story, except Bai Xi. In the second half of the generation, I was actually going crazy. I felt like I couldn't resist and just treated it as a fun thing. And there was this crematorium where I was chasing my wife, so I lost my memory? It's not strong enough. Keep up the good work.
How do I feel? I read this article a long time ago, but the date doesn't match.
It ended quite suddenly 😂
Will the author change the love cup in the next book?
It feels so good to torture him. I torture this general hard.
