After Secretly Marrying a Top-Tier Star, I Became a Hit on a Dating Show

Cheng Yu was a nobody in the entertainment industry, but somehow she ended up marrying top-tier star Lian Yuan.

They were childhood friends, at least to some extent. But they went their separate ways, and Cheng Yu thought they would never cross paths again. Then, unexpectedly, they met at a matchmaking event.

The first thing Lian Yuan said was, "I want to marry you."

Cheng Yu was so startled she nearly bolted on the spot. But once she heard how much money and how many perks Lian Yuan was offering, she signed the agreement immediately. All she had to do was keep it from their families. That was what she was best at!

The top-tier star was willing to pay her a million a month, plus offer her career opportunities. Cheng Yu thought she would have to wait, but the very next day, the producer of a dating show came knocking.

"A dating show?"

Cheng Yu took the contract to Lian Yuan, who simply said, "It's fine. Go ahead."

She understood. A secret marriage was just that: a marriage without a trace of affection.

.

But she never expected Lian Yuan to be the mystery guest on the first day of filming.

The trending topics exploded, and Cheng Yu was dumbfounded. What was this supposed to mean? Was this a show where they pretended to be single?

Determined to keep their working relationship friendly, Cheng Yu started avoiding Lian Yuan. But Lian Yuan kept following her around.

"Xiao Yu, let's cook together."

"Xiao Yu, do you like this movie too?"

"Xiao Yu..."

"..."

The viewers in the livestream couldn't stop shipping them, and their couple pairing became the talk of the town. Cheng Yu suddenly became famous. Watching her fan count soar, she still chose not to hold Lian Yuan back.

"Lian Yuan and I are just friends. Very good friends, friends for life!"

Lian Yuan sat in front of the camera, staring at her without a word.

That night, a trending topic blew up across the platform. Lian Yuan posted a message and a photo on her social media account.

Lian Yuan V: We're "friends," and we're also legally married. I was the one who pursued her [marriage certificate.jpg].

That night, Lian Yuan pinned Cheng Yu beneath her and watched her eyes turn red at the corners in the mirror. She curled her lips into a smile and asked softly, "Are we really just friends?"
