The Tragic Novel's Heroine, but She's a Forensic Entomologist [Crime Investigation]

Forensic entomologist Jian Tang was solving a case involving insects one second, and the next, a sarcastic remark sent her into an old-school tragic romance novel.

As everyone knows, old-school tragic romance novels only torment the heroine.

And Jian Tang had the rotten luck to transmigrate as that novel's heroine.

Facing a trash plot where she'd already been treated as a blood bank and was about to have her kidneys and heart cut out, Jian Tang couldn't help blurting out a curse.

Jian Tang: “...I'll castrate them!”

Every lawless thug deserves to be castrated.

However, castrating people on your own is illegal, but sending lawless thugs to the police station is perfectly fine.

Jian Tang quickly returned to her old line of work, latched onto the police department, and set about collecting evidence of the domineering CEO's crimes while helping the criminal investigation team solve cases with forensic entomology.

Secrets about the cause of death hidden in a crop; reconstructing the time of death through ecological succession; identifying the movement of a corpse by the insects found on it...

No matter how bizarre or gruesome the case, Jian Tang and her bugs could always crack it.

Little by little, Jian Tang went from being a strange woman people avoided to a rising star in the criminal investigation field.

After solving another major case, the TV station came to interview her.

The reporter eagerly held out a microphone. “Consultant Jian, what's the secret to solving one strange case after another?”

Jian Tang presented a basin full of plump, white maggots.

Huh? Why did the reporter faint? She hadn't even said anything yet.
