Tonight, the Lights Shine Bright

Gu Junxian is a cultivator, but he's searching for a demon. To that end, he has traveled across rivers, seas, mountains, and lands, and heard countless stories hidden among the lantern lights: a steadfast love dyed the peach-blossom lanterns crimson; prayer lanterns bobbed with the waves, bearing people's wishes; and rabbit lanterns awakened sealed memories. The hard-to-explain conflict between humans and demons, and all the joys and sorrows of mortal life, are gathered into a single glowing lantern, illuminating the long, dark night. At the place where the lantern lights grow sparse, he suddenly turns back. Only then does he realize that while he had forgotten the past, the beast girl had long been by his side. The lantern-lit city is just as it once was, and her smile is as lovely and captivating as he remembers. But can someone please tell him why this little demon takes such pleasure in teasing him? A gentle, quiet, easily flustered young cultivator with a changing face x an overly lively, compulsive liar of an E Shou girl Notes: 1. Updates twice a week. 2. An imaginary setting. Please don't nitpick the details. 3. This is a rewrite of one of my earlier stories, but the content has been changed extensively. Theme: Hold up a lantern and stand against deep-rooted prejudice.
