The Graveyard Inn Is Open for Business [Western Fantasy Management]

(20,000 words already written)

After transmigrating into a fantasy game, Tao Nianxin thought she would finally enjoy a cozy, romantic life running a business. Who could have guessed that the System would choose a graveyard as the site for her restaurant?

The graveyard was piled with bones, gloomy and terrifying. The restaurant was run-down, practically a condemned building.

Tao Nianxin: "..."

Whatever. I'm here now, so I might as well make do.

.

The continent of Vireus has been polluted by demonic energy, plunging into a twenty-six-year-long night. Food is scarce, monsters run rampant, and all living things suffer terribly.

Until someone discovers a little restaurant with its lights on amid the heaps of bones in the graveyard.

Then

"Rich, creamy potato soup that heals injuries? I'll take it!"

"Crispy honey chicken cutlets that practically melt in your mouth and boost attack power? I'll take them!"

"A juicy pineapple beef burger that boosts defense? I'll take as many as you have!"

The restaurant serves Western dishes like charcoal-grilled steak with black pepper, creamy seafood baked rice, and caramel black tea mousse...

As well as Chinese dishes like crab and chicken feet stew, golden sour soup with sliced beef, and wide noodles drenched in sesame sauce...

The customers come from different races, yet they all flock to the restaurant, tempted by the dishes' special effects.

The cool, haughty elf princess waits eagerly at the door just to buy a lime tart. A merfolk elder who has lived in seclusion beneath the sea makes her first appearance for a pot of seafood rice. The fierce orc chief fights his way through the crowd just to grab a fragrant grilled beef rib.

Tao Nianxin only wanted to open a restaurant, but somehow ended up saving countless people. Now, staring at the growing number of houses in her territory, she is utterly bewildered.

How did she end up with so many followers?

She only wanted to be a shopkeeper. She never meant to become a ruler.

[Gentle Content Notes]

1. The story focuses on running a restaurant, but the heroine eventually becomes a ruler. There will be some settlement-building in the middle and later parts, though it will be a small portion. (Inspired by an interactive fiction thread I started in May 2022.)

2. The male lead is mostly a background character until later, though he may appear fairly early.

3. I made the cover, and I drew the chibi character on it too. Please praise me! [Heart]
