Lucifer thought, if he was guilty, then let God punish him personally.

Not turn him into a bird out of nowhere, leave him to wander the human world, and let a mortal take him home and keep him like an ordinary pet bird!

This mortal was useless except for being good-looking, yet he dared to trim His Majesty Satan's nails and casually stroke his long feathers. The audacity was unforgivable!

...But considering how incredibly good-looking he was and how devotedly he waited on him, His Majesty Satan decided to let it go.

Still, why did this mortal look more and more familiar the longer he stared?

As the professor everyone knew was best avoided, Yileshadi had never imagined that one day a bird with brilliant red feathers would foist itself on him.

It seemed to be injured. Its claws were smeared with blood, even its gorgeous tail feathers had grown somewhat dull. Dazed and disoriented, it crashed into his arms. Its crimson eyes widened in surprise for an instant, then glared back at him defiantly.

Yileshadi had never considered himself particularly kind, but in that moment, he decided to take it in.

But this gorgeous bird seemed...not quite ordinary?

Not only could it understand human speech, not only did it regard visitors with disdain, not only could it conjure up a gale out of nowhere...

Yileshadi's suspicions were confirmed one night when he forcibly trimmed its nails.

A beauty dressed in red as bright as fire sat on his lap, crimson eyes full of fury. He grabbed Yileshadi by the wrist and opened his mouth to bite, then hesitated. In the end, he could only grind his teeth in frustration.

"You bastard! Don't trim my nails!"
