A pure writing exercise, with short standalone worlds. I want to write romances, all kinds of melodramatic, absurd nonsense.
It might be a mess.
The protagonist is fully immersed in each role, faithfully carrying out the duties of a villain or male supporting character. Their characterization may vary from world to world.
Ideas so far:
1. A Young Love, Riding Bamboo Horses (top scholar student X shrewd, calculating minister)
This is a story about a legitimate daughter who is reborn.
In her previous life, the heroine died in the Eastern Palace. This time, she returns to her youth, plots every step of the way, enters the selection for imperial consorts, wins the emperor's favor, takes her place in the central palace, and ultimately becomes empress dowager, ruling from behind the scenes.
Along the way, there is no shortage of grudges and entanglements.
But the story is about the heroine's brilliant concubine-born younger brother, who earns third place in the imperial examinations, and the twisted, controlling mentor who loves to torment him: the ups and downs of the two male supporting characters' relationship.
2. Rise in Rank, Make a Fortune, Lose Your Dao Companion (peerless demon king X peerless sword cultivator)
A self-disciplined, celibate sword cultivator is out traveling when he accidentally brings home a snow lotus flower to raise. Once it grows up, they become Dao companions.
Who could have guessed that the flower is a man-eating plant, secretly plotting at every turn until it ascends to the throne of the demon king?
It even kills its husband to attain the Dao.
The sword cultivator suffers in silence. Worst of all, after reincarnating, he loses his memories and becomes his Dao companion's disciple once again.
Sword cultivator: I'm craving Master's wife... (teary face)
3. The King and His Knight (tyrant X god of war / prime minister)
Literary version:
For Julian Bonia
A dictator in the interstellar age, heir to a mad bloodline, the empire's final twilight.
His life was steeped in power, blood, and desire.
To reach the summit, he stopped at nothing. Once he had everything, he mercilessly discarded all he had used, all that had become worthless, including those who had sworn to love him.
Such a cold-hearted man
would inevitably hear the tolling of his own death knell.
Lighthearted version:
Once upon a time, there was a pitiful, weak prince who painstakingly trained a pair of twins on his way to the crown. He thought he had given them the highest honors and the finest treatment, but they wanted more than that, and so it all went off the rails.
#Twins share senses, high-tech artificial humans#
4. God Said: The One I Love Shall Live Forever (merfolk prince X Western fantasy pope)
When God descends to earth, suffering must come first.
Legend says that in the first year after the great Duze VII was framed and driven from Florence, he drifted to a lost island. There he met the only person he ever loved, Jiashe, princess of the merfolk kingdom. She became an unforgettable memory throughout his long life.
And his only illegitimate child, His Highness Aryan, never met his mother in his entire life.
But what really happened that day was that a merfolk prince who had accidentally swum beyond his territory found a drowning missionary.
To get ashore and gain an identity, he tricked the man into taking in a child and claiming it was his.
He never imagined the man would actually believe him.
5. Nonhuman chapter (rational researcher X ruthless test subject)
"Mom, don't you love me anymore?"
The only survivor of an evolution experiment: an ugly-cute tentacled little monster.
To win love, it tries hard to grow taller and then "eat" Mom.
Fake tentacles, real evil god.
The top isn't ugly. He's the epitome of evil and perfection.
Premise: Love others and love yourself.
