His Majesty Insists on Being Madly in Love with Me

[Blurb]

Ever since Gu Wanzhi was little, he knew he was special to the Crown Prince.

The Crown Prince would watch him.

That wasn't strange, since the Crown Prince could watch anyone.

But something was very wrong. Whenever Gu Wanzhi turned around, the Crown Prince was always looking at him with a strange expression.

Eighteen years passed in a flash. Just as Gu Wanzhi was about to marry, the newly enthroned emperor issued an imperial edict.

Gu Wanzhi was destined to serve the state and must remain pure. He was not to marry.

After the edict was issued, Gu Wanzhi seemed to have acquired an aura of holiness. Little children clasped their hands and bowed to him, while matchmakers kept their distance.

Remain pure for the rest of his life?

While Gu Wanzhi was busy being pure, his nephew, who had given up martial arts to study, threw down his books and told him, "Uncle, I'm not staying here anymore. I want to fight. I want the battlefield."

And so the pure Gu Wanzhi was delivered by his own nephew to the emperor's bed.

The emperor, who was never one to smile, gently stroked his sleeve. "Do you remember? We were promised to each other."
