Blurb
I’m old, I’m not good enough, I can’t rob the cradle: a guilty top vs You’re not old, you’re perfect for me, even an old man can rob the cradle: a gentle bottom
[This is a story about a second male lead who sabotages himself, then expects everything to end happily ever after. But the bottom isn’t ordinary, and he’s way out of the top’s league.]
Blurb
[One]
Xiao Jun is sickly, powerful, and childhood friends with the emperor.
They work together and take down all the ministers, only to be dragged from power by the court. One is stripped of authority, and the other is held hostage.
Years later, Xiao Jun is even more sickly, and the emperor is dark, unhinged, and done with being human.
Looking at the heartless man before him, Xiao Jun beckons someone over with a finger. “Kick him for me. Right in the heart.”
[Two]
Han Chuwu is immeasurably powerful, highly esteemed, and handsome.
That year, he planted a tree in his own courtyard. He watered and fertilized it every day, solemnly declaring that he would marry it.
The palace maids and heavenly generals murmured to one another and pointed at him. “The First Highness and that tree...”
Someone cried out in alarm, “So it’s true! I wondered why His Highness was so disheveled last night...”
As the stars shifted and the ages passed, the little tree finally grew into a beautiful person, radiant and captivating, who fell in love with the Divine Lord at first sight.
But times had changed, and things were no longer what they had been. The Divine Lord had already forgotten his old vows and was off looking for his former lover. (Not really.)
Looking at the beauty in front of him, he compares their ages and decides he isn’t good enough.
1v1, both virgins, melodramatic, an old flame reignites.

Three Hundred Immortals a Day
As soon as Wei Qingxian arrives at Zhuoguang Mountain, he falls for the beautiful, aloof immortal Lu Xundao.
Before he even realizes he’s in love, the immortal rejects him.
And tells him, “I have someone I love.”
“He is my fiance.”
“I am a man of virtue, and I am willing to remain a widower for him.”
*
Though the immortal is cold, he still cares for Wei Qingxian as a junior, risking his life for him and teaching him with care.
Like a father, like a teacher, upright and proper.
Wei Qingxian feels like he’s gained a father, and it makes his teeth itch with hatred.
*
But later, the immortal tells him, “Oh, you’re my fiance.”
“So let’s get married.”
Immortal Xundao is the strongest in the Dao tradition, rich, handsome, and charming, but his fiance doesn’t love him.
And as far as Wei Qingxian knows, that “fiance” isn’t really his fiance, and isn’t willing to be one either. This is all just the immortal’s wishful thinking.
They’re fellow disciples.
*
What a mess.
Wei Qingxian, who almost called him Dad, grits his teeth.
[Past life: A reclusive, people-shy, aloof bottom vs a vicious, deranged top
Present life: An innocent, harmless, black-bellied bottom vs a pretentious mimic top]
1. Younger top in the past life, older top in this life. Each other’s first love, both virgins.
2. The bottom’s death in his past life was related to the top, but only a little. Still, there’s a chase-the-love crematorium.
3. As the blurb says, the story starts with their present life, and the protagonists gradually uncover their past lives. In his previous life, the bottom wasn’t willing to be with the top, but had no choice. He also couldn’t stand being with his junior disciple, so he won’t regain his memories, though his personality will merge with his former self.
4. The top is a shameless mimic who copies appearances, not substance. He isn’t a good person, so don’t trust him. He’s copying the person he thinks the bottom likes, though that person doesn’t actually like him.
5. Side couple: boys’ love, an immortal vs a demon disciple. They transmigrate, follow a clichéd route, and have a deeply melodramatic love story. They both get happy endings.
6. May everything go smoothly. Thanks for your support. Please add this to your reading list and check out my other stories.
Theme: Life is most important, so cherish it.
