When Matsuda Binds to the Secret Identity System

At 26, Officer Matsuda dies on duty on a Ferris wheel. When he opens his eyes again, he's back at 16.? Once Matsuda Jinpei figures out what's going on, something called the "Popularity Secret Identity System" shows up and tells him that not only Hagi, but also Kei and the squad leader died after he did, leaving only the blond bastard behind. Matsuda Jinpei doesn't trust this shady thing at first. But the sci-fi fact that he's been reborn, along with the "original story" the so-called System shows him, makes him reluctantly believe what it says. The System tells him that their deaths are fixed points in the story. Even if he saves them for now, they'll still die at the appointed time for one reason or another. "I'll help you save them," the System says. "As long as you earn enough popularity points using your secret identities, I can change their fates." Matsuda Jinpei agrees. However, the manga about that world has already ended, and this timeline is just an alternate story created by the mangaka. As a new character, it would be hard to earn popularity points by competing with the established characters. To earn enough points, Matsuda Jinpei has no choice but to make his secret identities ride on his own popularity. And so... [Wait, there's a new member in the police academy squad? How did he and Matsuda get so close so fast? He's already wiping Matsuda's sweat, feeding him, and indirectly kissing him?!] [Why does this new member of the distillery look so much like that friend four years older than Matsuda mentioned before? Didn't he say the guy was a cop?] [Well, would you look at that. He's even using his distillery salary to buy Matsuda a car and a model kit, as Valentine's Day gifts. Is a distillery employee in love with Matsuda?] [And what's with this new white-haired, cat-eyed cutie? Why is she an experimental subject? Why did she fall for Mazda at first sight?] [Wait, how does she know what Matsuda did yesterday? Is she bugging or spying on him?] [Has Mazda turned into some kind of heartthrob for everyone?] The process is a little bumpy, but Matsuda finally earns enough popularity points. Then he turns around and finds his classmates giving him complicated looks. Furuya Rei: "Matsuda, why are dangerous people always fixating on you? Wake up, they're not good people!" Matsuda: ??? * All the secret identities are on the heroes' side: a police officer, an undercover agent, and an experimental subject intent on overthrowing the organization. * All the secret identities have superhuman fighting abilities and their own specialties. * Includes female secret identities. Theme: I can't think of one.
