[Honkai: Star Rail] Bound to a Dog-Blood System with My Coworker

Synopsis

What would you do if you woke up one day and discovered that you'd been bound to a "Dramatic Romance Plot Acting" System alongside the former coworker you hate most?

Aventurine, holding the domineering CEO script for a melodramatic romance, raises an eyebrow and smiles faintly. "Thanks for asking. I'm the former coworker everyone hates. I'm doing just fine, and I'm ready to see this through."

Dr. Ratio, holding the script of a pitiful, long-suffering innocent flower, grits his teeth. "That damned gambler. When is this garbage System going to get lost?"

"Melodrama System 520, the 'you can't hit me, isn't that annoying?' edition": Just act out all the key melodramatic scenes in "The Cold Beauty and the Domineering CEO" to get unbound!

Planned scenes:

1. Pick up a handsome amnesiac CEO by the roadside, then let him freeload off you.

2. The CEO gets drunk and loses his head, mistaking you for his unattainable first love and confessing to you.

3. To make his first love jealous, the CEO announces his engagement to his stand-in.

4. His first love returns from abroad. The cold stand-in learns the truth and runs away with his child.

5. ...

Once every scene was complete, Aventurine was ready to take his savings, now worth tens of thousands of times more, and walk away. But a certain cold beauty grabbed him by the arm.

Confused, he said, "Hey, dear Dr. Ratio, the performance is over. We're both free now!"

Dr. Ratio gazed at him coldly. "Yes, the performance is over."

"But, unfortunately, our marriage certificate is real, and so was the wedding banquet."

Aventurine: "?"

Reader's Note

1. Main pairing: Ratio/Aventurine. No switching or breaking them up. OOC warning. I'll do my best to keep them in character, but fanfiction can never beat canon. (Absolutely certain.jpg)

2. There will be invented details about their pasts, futures, and families, along with plenty of headcanons. I started writing in version 2.2 and settled the outline in 3.0. (Nervous.jpg) If canon later proves me wrong, that's on me.

3. This pairing feels perfect for melodrama, so I started writing on a whim. Expect plenty of trashy romance tropes and brain-rotting nonsense. Happy ending, with everything in between made up by me! No pregnancy or running away with a child.

Theme: Stay true to yourself, and someone will come running to you
