My Favorite Character Carried Me [Genshin Impact / Honkai: Star Rail]

[Mainly Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail characters traveling to other worlds to raise kids, with a different protagonist in each arc. The worldbuilding is all made up as I go.]

[No romance between the characters. Everyone who appears is platonic, but the author ships all sorts of pairings, so please proceed with caution if that bothers you. Love you!]

"Blurb"

One day, a mirror appeared on the streets of the nations of Teyvat and the planets of Honkai: Star Rail. Those with a Vision or a Path could hear whispers from the other side as they passed by

"Waaah, can Alhaitham and Nous come over and tutor me in Chinese?"

"I'm so tired. A world without Zhongli and Aventurine is incomplete!"

"There's no way I'll finish this before the deadline! Lesser Lord Kusanali, grant me wisdom!!!"

"I wish I could join the Arataki Gang or become a member of the Astral Express Crew. The bosses would definitely protect me."

"Inazuma City"

"Oh, that's some spirit! Anyone who wants to join the Arataki Gang deserves a proper trial from yours truly!" On the continent of Teyvat, Arataki Itto slung his Redhorn Stonethresher over his shoulder and became the first to step through the mirror.

"A certain train"

"March 7th, did you hear that? Someone wants to join the Astral Express Crew. Let's go check them out together!!" A Stellaron-bearing Trailblazer on the Astral Express grabbed March 7th with one hand and Dan Heng with the other, dragging them both into the mirror.

Part 1

"Arc One: (Inazuma group) Arataki Itto, Tartaglia, and Kuki Shinobu / (Astral Express group) Trailblazer, Dan Heng, and March 7th vs. a bullied ability user"

Xie Heyan, a new student at an ability-user academy who was being bullied, stood on the roof of the school building. Just before she decided to jump, a large hand grabbed her arm, and a familiar voice rang in her ear: "Hey, hey, don't jump!"

Xie Heyan was pulled back. A bunch of familiar faces had appeared in front of her.

The boisterous young oni tried hard to comfort her. "Why are you crying? If you want to join the Arataki Gang, then come on! It's not like I said no!"

"Stop crying. Tell me what's wrong. Your boss here will take care of everything!"

[From a timid crybaby to the number one ability user]

Part 2

"I'm so tired. Let it be. A world without Zhongli and Aventurine is incomplete!"

"Arc Two: (Liyue Adepti) Zhongli, Xianyun, and Xiao / (Penacony group) Dr. Ratio, Aventurine, and Robin vs. an ordinary person with no awakened powers in the apocalypse"

The apocalypse arrives, and all living things mutate. Sang Zheyun, who failed to awaken an ability, abandons everything just to survive. But when danger strikes, his teammates leave him behind, and he is surrounded by monsters.

He closes his eyes, ready to await death, but a familiar voice comes from beside him

"The demons rise once more, the people suffer, and the land lies in ruin. We pledge our humble strength to bring order to the world."

"Waaah, can Alhaitham or Herta come over and tutor me in Chinese?"

"Arc Three: (Sumeru group) Alhaitham and Faruzan / (Herta Space Station group) Herta, Ruan Mei, and Screwllum vs. a high school senior who's hopeless at Chinese"

Looking at the Chinese exam paper filled with writing but scored at only ten points, the others are baffled. "Do you communicate with people through body language?"

Lan Shuyu: "QAQ"

Screwllum: "Perhaps this phenomenon is worthy of further study."

[From the bottom of the year group to a top university]

Part 4

"Arc Four: (Fontaine group) Neuvillette and Wriothesley vs. a family that favors boys and exploits its daughters (reverse transmigration)"

Lin Zhaodi, sold by her own parents for a bride price of thirty thousand to marry a man fifty years older than her, stands at the tribunal and cries, "They sold my whole life for thirty thousand."

As Neuvillette judges the domineering family patriarch, the other side continues to shout, "It's always been this way! We take the money, and you get to enjoy a good life!" He delivers his verdict: "You are guilty."
