If I Could Start Over [Naruto]

If he could do it all over again, would Kakashi Hatake still believe that Sakura and Sasuke would find happiness together?

When his only female student returned after a year away from Konoha with a child in her arms, alone, Kakashi felt conflicted.

Sakura had always been stubborn, ever since she was little. No matter how many difficulties she faced, she would bear them on her own. So he half-forced her to accept his help, or her job and the child would surely wear her down.

Sasuke came back only once a year, if that, and every time Kakashi saw Sakura's lonely expression, it shook the faith he'd once held.

One day, Kakashi woke up back in his youth.

There were tragedies he'd once been forced to watch helplessly that he could now change, but there was one other thing he was determined to do.

This time, he wouldn't let Sasuke and Sakura end up on the same team.

And he wouldn't let her fall for the wrong person again.

Reader's guide:

1. Breaks up the canon pairing. Don't read if that bothers you.

2. The early chapters may have a strong "widow's lament" vibe. (

3. After being reborn, Kakashi Hatake and Sakura Haruno are no longer teacher and student.

Theme: It's never too late to start over.
