Just as Yu Wei and Lu Shuqian were about to get married, he was in a plane crash and his body was never found.

She'd always been fickle and wasn't especially devoted, yet it took her almost a year to emerge from her grief. With his younger brother, Lu Wenyi, by her side, she pushed through the gloom and began a new life.

One day, on her way home, Yu Wei stood by the roadside with her pregnant belly, watching a commotion.

"Looks like two brothers fighting," a passerby remarked in amazement. "It almost turned deadly. Good thing the police got here in time."

Could two brothers really hate each other that much?

Curious, Yu Wei stood on tiptoe to peer through the crowd. Then she heard a voice that had haunted her dreams.

"Weiwei." The man's face was both familiar and strange. He raised a hand to wipe the blood from his lip, his gaze dark. "...Whose child are you carrying?"
