(Jade Girl and Zhang Liang's sweet romance synopsis:
“Fiancee!”
Jade Girl's pretty little face flushed, and she stared at the handsome, elegant man before her with wide, apricot-shaped eyes.
She... She couldn't remember ever having such a gorgeous fiance!
“Do you remember now, Jade Girl?”
His voice was lovely. She even thought she heard a hint of grievance in it! That had to be her imagination. And his name was Zhang Liang? She really didn't remember him at all!!)
(Fu Xin'er and Yan Lu synopsis:
“I'm very disappointed in you.”
The woman on the bed suddenly opened her eyes. She wore a white top and a red skirt, her slender waist graceful. Her delicate face, with its lovely brows, was fair and clean.
She seemed to try to sit up, but pulled at her wound. Her beautiful, peach-blossom eyes grew misty.
“Your wound hasn't healed yet, miss. Be careful.”
A warm, magnetic voice reached her. Fu Xin'er looked over with her tear-bright peach-blossom eyes and saw a very handsome man standing in the doorway.
“Who... are you?”
Fu Xin'er asked cautiously, her soft voice tinged with unease.
“I am Yan Lu. This is the Little Sage Manor. You fainted at the entrance just now.”
His eyes were lovely, and he calmly explained what had happened in an unhurried voice.
Only then did Fu Xin'er remember that she had come to find her brother, but had been injured and fainted. Realizing that she had almost misunderstood the man, she felt a little embarrassed.
“Thank you for saving me. My name is Fu Xin'er. Xin'er, as in virtue and grace.”
Who introduced herself like that? Yan Lu couldn't help laughing. “I know. Senior Brother already told me.”
Senior Brother? So her brother knew? Fu Xin'er suddenly felt nervous. “May I ask, my brother...”
Before she could finish, a stern voice sounded from the doorway. “Fu Xin'er!” It was Fu Nian.
At the familiar voice and the sight of her brother's utterly dark expression, Fu Xin'er shivered and instinctively slipped behind Yan Lu. She had even forgotten to put on her shoes.
“Brother, let me explain!”
Yan Lu was a little bewildered to find a young woman hiding behind him. Fu Nian, looking at his sister's woebegone face, felt a headache coming on. “Come out. What happened to your manners? Your etiquette?”
Here he goes again! Fu Xin'er poked her head out, then quickly pulled it back. “I'm not...”
Yan Lu smiled and gently said, “Senior Brother, Miss Fu is injured. Why not let her rest early?”
At his words, Fu Xin'er's peach-blossom eyes immediately sparkled as she looked at him. What a good person!
Fu Nian shot his sister an exasperated look, all his sternness and coldness gone. “I'll settle this with you tomorrow!”
Watching him leave, Fu Xin'er let out a huge sigh of relief. Smiling, she thanked Yan Lu. “Thank you for getting me out of that.”
Yan Lu shook his head. “Then rest early, Miss Fu.”
Fu Xin'er nodded. “Just call me Xin'er. I don't like people calling me Miss Fu. It feels so strange.”
Yan Lu readily agreed. When his gaze fell on a certain spot, he paused, then awkwardly looked away. “Then, Miss Xin'er, I'll take my leave.”)
