[The Legend of Qin (The Emperor and I)]

Xiruo's hometown, Ruoshui Ridge, is surrounded by mountains and blessed with abundant water and fine weather, making it rich in natural resources. But the terrain also means that miasma hangs over the mountains all year round, where venomous insects and snakes abound. As a result, outsiders have never invaded their tribe.

Xiruo lost her parents when she was little and was taken in by a foster mother. But her foster mother hated how much Xiruo looked like her birth mother. In her words, Xiruo had the face of a seductress. She treated her terribly, often beating and berating her.

Xiruo was very beautiful, with fair skin, dark eyes, and bright, sparkling peach-blossom eyes. Every frown and smile made her look like a celestial maiden. She was just too much of a "seductress," but because her foster parents were the clan leaders, she had managed to live an honorable life until now.

Xiruo had thought about leaving, but with her looks, could she really live a safe and respectable life in the outside world? Yet if she stayed, she would go on being beaten and scolded. Xiruo felt trapped in a dead end.

That day, her foster mother sent her up the mountain to gather herbs. As Xiruo was picking wild greens, she ran into a group led by "Young Master Shang," who had wandered into the area by accident. At first, she only wanted him to hurry up and take the others away from this dangerous place. In the end, he actually wanted to take her with him?

Content warnings:

1. The timeline of the heroine's meeting with our Zheng-ge is probably a little before the events of "The Legend of Qin." That makes Fusu's age a plot hole. If you criticize me for it, I won't accept it!

2. This won't follow the anime's plot. Our emperor won't die young, Fusu won't kill himself, and the Qin dynasty won't fall after its second emperor.
