It's Better When My Husband Is Dead [Genshin Impact]

[Third-person narration]

Here's what happened.

I played a full-dive romance game and kept at it, only to...

get more than a dozen bad endings.

My husbands in name were all Demon Gods or Dragon Kings or something. Marrying them was supposed to give me a smooth, glorious life.

But it didn't.

My first husband was Morax, the God of Contracts. He didn't love me, and I never even met him.

He simply arranged for me to live in Liyue, where I could lead an ordinary life.

So I switched my target to a handsome man with long black hair.

It turned out he was Morax.

By the time I learned the truth, I had already died in a war.

Looking at the Demon God's expression in the epilogue, as if he was about to cry, I felt nothing.

My second husband was Decarabian, the God of Storms. He was supposed to love me.

He respected my wishes and gave me a life of luxury.

The good times didn't last. A group of people overthrew him.

I tried to escape in the chaos, but a stray arrow struck me and I fell at his feet.

Only later did I learn that he didn't love me either.

But in the epilogue, he began to miss me and love me.

Me: Heh.

My third husband was King Deshret, Amun. He loved me very much, and we had a grand wedding.

But our happiness didn't last. One day, he suddenly asked what lay beyond the world.

He wanted to study the knowledge of the Abyss and hoped I would help him.

I asked him if that was why he'd married me.

He said it was, but that he truly liked me now.

Too bad I knew nothing about the Abyss.

So he studied it himself, went mad, and unleashed the power of the Abyss. It became a black tide that consumed everything.

Many people died. I was no exception.

Me: ...

I don't want to see this epilogue. Let's go straight to the next playthrough.

My fourth husband...

Anyway, after going through more than a dozen husbands, I decided Demon Gods were far too dangerous. I jumped forward along the timeline to the age of humans.

I was going to have a proper, happy romance!

...No, um, what I mean is, I want to date a human, not get back together with you ghosts of ex-husbands!!!!
