I Spend Money to Stay Alive

Xu Nian was born with a weak heart, and doctors declared she wouldn't live to see eighteen.

After returning from two years of recuperation abroad, she discovered that her parents had found a replacement for her, while her fiance, who had sworn he would never marry anyone else and would stay with her through life and death, was wavering.

She herself had reached a dead end in life.

As she suffered a heart attack and hovered on the brink of death, a System suddenly appeared, giving her a way to extend her life by spending money.

Every 10,000 yuan bought her ten more minutes of life. She turned around and paid for everyone in the hospital to see a doctor.

As she listened to her remaining lifespan steadily increase, she wondered how she should spend all that money. After all, spending money is a skill. It's not as if you can spend it just because you want to.

Life is hard to earn, and money is hard to spend.

Eventually, Xu Nian devoted herself to racking her brains to spend money: building elementary schools, creating homes for angels, making rockets, and building aircraft carriers.

She even bought a country.

Everyone in the Xu family thought she was dead. They never imagined she would not only survive, but make headlines around the world and become someone they could never hope to reach.

Once I was a stream, within your reach, yet you cast me aside like an old hat.

Now I stand atop the mountains, beyond your grasp.
