Film City in the 1990s

He Jiuwei stood in front of the film and television studio that would later become famous throughout the land, staring in disbelief.

A few sheds and three filming locations?

That's it?

"Boss, this is our filming base?"

Where was the Qin Palace?

The Forbidden City?

The classical gardens of Suzhou?

And old Shanghai in the nineteenth century, Hong Kong in the early twentieth century? Why were they all missing!

He Jiuwei discovered that becoming the person in charge of Shanhai Film Studio wasn't exactly a happy experience.

First, she had to solve everyone's food problems.

Then there was the matter of finding tenants for the "film studio" (three sheds).

This really was a daunting task.
