Famous Five Years Later

Five years ago,

Tang Yu, a little-known actress, starred in a TV series called Childhood Sweethearts with Lu Jian, who was still a nobody back then but is now a top-tier star.

The production ran into trouble with its investors, and the show was shelved indefinitely.

Who would have thought that five years later, the investors would dig up this finished but unreleased series?

Thanks to Lu Jian's current fame and status, the show made it onto satellite TV!

It aired in a prime-time slot. On its first day, its ratings broke 1.

After that, its viewership kept climbing.

The show became a hit!

Tang Yu, whose contract had expired and who was getting ready to leave the industry, was dug up by the gossip paparazzi.

She became famous!

Romance dramas came flying her way like snowflakes, variety show offers poured in, and deposits of seven or eight digits in her bank account had her grinning from ear to ear.

Who knows how long anyone can stay popular in showbiz?

She planned to make as much money as she could while she was still famous, then retire and enjoy her old age.

To her surprise, the investors wanted her and Lu Jian to work together again on another sweet romance drama.

The problem was, Lu Jian agreed!

This is ridiculous!
