Who Knew Farming Could Make You a God?

Novel blurb:

Ji Mingyuan transmigrates into an ancient famine-escape novel set in a matriarchal society.

Looking at the famine before her and thinking of the chaotic war for supremacy that takes up most of the novel, Ji Mingyuan thinks: Maybe I should just give up and wait to die.jpg

But the arrival of the System derails this exhausted office worker's plan to give up.

Ji Mingyuan: What? A farming system? Now you're talking. I'm wide awake!

To avoid actually starving to death, Ji Mingyuan rolls up her sleeves and gets to farming.

Clearing land, breaking soil, sowing seeds, harvesting, leveling up, expanding. After completing one task after another, Ji Mingyuan scratches her head: Why does my farm keep getting bigger.jpg

She gazes at her full granaries and ponders for a moment, then decides to follow the example of the sages and help the world once she has prospered.

Ji Mingyuan uses food to hire famine refugees to help her build infrastructure. But the more they build, the less the refugees want to leave.

Ji Mingyuan: Huh? You really mean it? You want to build a city and make me its lord?

The refugees she saved gaze at her with fervent, almost worshipful eyes.

After the city is built, Ji Mingyuan is pushed into becoming its lord. Then she discovers that her citizens have built a shrine to her and worship her there every day.

Ji Mingyuan: Oh no, did they see me secretly using the System to split open a mountain?

The citizens: Exactly! We knew it. Our city lord must be a deity come down from heaven!

Ji Mingyuan: Then I guess I'll stop pretending? Testing the waters.jpg

The results are in.

The citizens not only sincerely believe she is a true god, they're also proud to call their city the City of the Gods, and themselves the people of the gods.

Because only the people of the gods can enjoy such a prosperous and happy life.

In the end, Ji Mingyuan gazes at the invitation delivered in person by the heroine, who has unified the realm, and sighs.

All she wanted at first was to do a little farming. How did the heroine already come up with a title for her as a revered deity?!

This is another no-romance story set in a matriarchal society! The main elements are farming and infrastructure building~
