House Cats, Go Pick Someone Up!

After a failed interstellar voyage, Warren Xiya, a wealthy Maine merchant and the most powerful woman in the Batsila Empire, picked someone up.

According to the ancient texts, humans are the best cat servants for the cat folk!

Warren Xiya was overjoyed and bundled the human up to take home that very night.

Once home, she discovered the ancient texts were right!

Her little human really did love her so much!

Although she was occasionally a tiny bit unreasonably brutal, she not only groomed Warren's fur and brought her prey, but even stood up to protect her when she was in danger!

Heaven knew how moved Xiya was when she saw the human standing in front of her.

Warren Xiya: Oh! My heart is melting! She must think of me as her mom! I'll love her with all my heart!

The infamous great demon of the Cangming Domain, the Burning Heaven Demon Venerable Xuan Xiao, accidentally entered a strange world while undergoing her tribulation.

The beast pets here (Xiya: ?) could actually take human form, and seemed to wield powers unlike those of the cultivation world.

Xuan Xiao found this fascinating.

As it happened, she also met a tabby beastwoman who was exceptionally respectful and obedient toward her.

To learn more about this world's wondrous system of powers, the great demon decided to accept the cat beastwoman's pledge of allegiance and, with great reluctance, take her as a spirit pet.

Of course, since she was now her spirit pet, Xuan Xiao would have to protect her and make sure no other cats bullied her.

The newly rich tycoon with a human / the great demon with a cat: "Mmm, raising a human / cat is so much fun! But why does my human / cat seem a little odd?"

Oh, well! Never mind! A human's / pet beast's owner has to take responsibility for the one they've brought home!

An interstellar tycoon and a cultivation-world great demon, both falling for each other while having slightly skewed ideas about what they are to one another.
