The Wicked Cat Comes Down the Mountain

Novel blurb:

The cat used to be an ordinary cat.

She had no idea how she'd somehow ended up in a strange, unfamiliar place.

Lots of big cats called her their kitten and made her learn all kinds of magic.

It was really hard to learn.

After being forced to study for who knows how long, the cat finally learned to take human form, with tears in her eyes, and was allowed to leave the mountain.

The cat thought she would go down the mountain and find her human.

Because her human was so nice. He never forced the cat to learn magic, talismans, or meditation techniques, and he even cooked little meals for her.

But after coming down the mountain, the cat stared at a world completely different from the one in her memories and was dumbfounded.

After going through all kinds of hardships, the cat finally found her human, who had changed into a new outfit.

The cat saw the dignified woman sitting upright in a sedan chair and happily, familiarly tried to go over and snuggle up to her.

But the guards stopped her.

The cat burst into tears in the middle of the street. "You heartless woman!"

Her voice was so loud and her grief so intense that everyone turned to look.

The newly enthroned empress Ji Ying, whose reputation had already taken a hit: "…"

The new empress took the strange young woman who had publicly wailed about her being heartless back to the palace.

She wanted to privately ask whether the woman had mistaken her for someone else. But she never expected the woman to nimbly curl up in her arms.

Then she turned into a beautiful, long-haired calico cat.

And started purring.

Ji Ying: ?!

Ji Ying was stunned.

Later, the Great Huang Kingdom gained a mysterious Imperial Preceptor. With her help, the new empress Ji Ying achieved an enduring legacy, earning fame for generations to come. Yet this great emperor never took a consort or left an heir. Before she turned fifty, she abdicated in favor of her niece, then retired from the world and disappeared without a trace.

Unofficial histories say that the Bright Emperor ran away with the Imperial Preceptor.

This is a sweet girls' love story set in a matriarchal society!

A fiercely scary cat to everyone else, but an absolute sweetheart at home x a dog-like human who worries herself sick over her cat~
