Stealing a Kiss

Yuan Wuzhe wanted to finish one last job and then retire for good.

But when she received the scroll from the Baiwu Society, she discovered that what she had to steal wasn't some coral treasure tree, but a woman.

The woman's name was Cui Liuying. She was a daughter of the prestigious Cui clan, with all the bearing of a noblewoman, but she was bedridden with a lingering illness and frail as a willow.

At first, Yuan Wuzhe couldn't be bothered to care what the Baiwu Society was after. She just wanted to complete the job.

But before long, she regretted it and wanted to take Cui Liuying and run away with her.

The Baiwu Society still came after them.

Only after the Baiwu Society was destroyed did Yuan Wuzhe realize she'd been tricked.

The frail little damsel was a black-hearted schemer. She leaned close to Yuan Wuzhe's ear and threatened, "Should I call you Your Highness Qiansui? You wouldn't want people to know you're still alive, would you?"

Yuan Wuzhe: "..."

-

To deal with the Baiwu Society, Cui Liuying used herself as bait.

She never expected to catch such a huge fish.

In the twentieth year of the Zhidao era, the brilliant and peerless Qiansui perished in a sea of flames, and the whole world mourned.

No one expected her to have survived and gone into hiding among the common folk.

The palace was deep and secluded, and they'd only ever brushed past each other. But now she had stepped out of the palace on her own.

Keeping this "big fish" all to herself would be a betrayal of Heaven's kind intentions.
