Pretending to Be Human, I Fell in Love with an AI

[The full story is only 2.44, come try a bite of this sweet treat!]

Blurb:

Yu Ting was born in the slums. Thanks to his outstanding combat skills and unique insights into mecha design, he became the Federation Empire's top general. But during a mission involving a wormhole, his ship lost contact, and he unexpectedly arrived on a planet called Earth.

With no ID and no proof of education, Yu Ting relied on his exceptional mecha repair skills to become a mechanic at an auto repair shop!

As he gradually learned about Earth, he finally realized that he had transmigrated thousands of years into the past. While adapting to life there, he searched the scrapyard where he had crashed for the box that could take him home.

One time, after getting drunk, Yu Ting told the story of his battles with the Zerg. When he woke up, he was met with strange looks from everyone around him.

"Is something wrong with Yu Ting's head?"

"I didn't expect him to be so handsome, but not too bright."

"That's what happens when you're handsome but uneducated. No wonder he's always digging through the trash."

Yu Ting: So mad, but with no way to argue back.

One rainy night, Yu Ting went to the scrapyard again. He didn't find the box, but he did find a homeless little boy.

The two relied on each other, and Yu Ting gave the boy a name: Yu Deng Deng.

His son was adorable, but Yu Ting realized that something seemed wrong with his head. He actually imagined he was an octopus!

2. Yu Deng Deng had a secret. He wasn't human. He was an octopus prince with eight tentacles who had accidentally transmigrated from ten thousand years in the future. Unfortunately, he was a prince in exile with no territory of his own, so he could only live with his human dad in an auto repair shop.

Although his dad had mental problems, Yu Deng Deng never looked down on him, and was always making grand promises.

"Dad, if you come with me, I'll give you the biggest territory."

"You don't have tentacles, Dad, but you're still pretty handsome. You'll definitely be popular on the Octopus Planet."

"Dad's mental illness is getting worse again."

Yu Ting and Yu Deng Deng today: Sigh, another day to worry.

Everyone nearby knew that the Yu father and son suffered from delusions. But Yu Ting was handsome and Yu Deng Deng was cute, so they were both beloved by the neighbors. Then one day, two spaceships arrived on Earth and broadcast a message: one was here to take General Yu Ting of the Empire home, and the other was here to retrieve the missing octopus prince.

That's when everyone realized... they might actually have been telling the truth.

After hearing the broadcast...

Yu Deng Deng: "Dad, can you really make my mecha...?"

Yu Ting: "Let me see your tentacles first."

1. A lighthearted child-rearing story, basically the daily life of an alien father and son on Earth.

2. The love interest makes a rather unusual appearance, so I'll leave him out of the blurb for now.

3. No secondary couples.

Please add my new novel, Becoming the Gloomy Top Student's Lackey, to your reading list!

Here's the blurb:

Blurb:

Ying Jiawu has a face that looks easy to pick on, and a gentle personality to match. After transferring schools, he wants to avoid being bullied, so he takes the initiative to approach Xu Chengqi, the top student rumored to be cold and unapproachable.

Staring at that don't-come-near-me face, Ying Jiawu steels himself to face the challenge and decides to become Xu Chengqi's lackey!

It's just that this is his first time being a lackey, so he might not have much experience.

- Bring Xu Chengqi some milk.

- Xu Chengqi is allergic to milk.

- Help Xu Chengqi write an essay.

- Xu Chengqi gets his first low grade on an essay.

Ying Jiawu: ...

Feeling like a useless lackey who would be abandoned sooner or later, Ying Jiawu spent the whole night worrying and nearly arrived late to school, dark circles under his eyes.

But Xu Chengqi was standing at the school gate, watching him without a word. When he saw Ying Jiawu hurrying over, he went into the school.

Ying Jiawu: So that means he agrees?

Ying Jiawu spent a whole year being a very nervous lackey. No one bullied him, and he graduated without a hitch.

Before this lackey gig came to an end, Ying Jiawu gratefully thanked Xu Chengqi and wished him a bright future.

But while he was still going on and on, someone suddenly gripped his wrist hard. The next second, he was shoved against the wall.

Ying Jiawu looked up in confusion and saw Xu Chengqi's cool, handsome face draw closer, his lips curling into a cold smile.

"You don't actually think I let you get close to me for a whole year because I saw you as my lackey, do you?"

Ying Jiawu: Huh... wasn't that the case?

The next second, Xu Chengqi listed the perks Ying Jiawu had received as his lackey that year, his face expressionless.

"I did your homework for you."

"You got the snacks you wanted every day."

"I even played all the games you wanted to play with you."

"Ying Jiawu... do you think there's any lackey who has it better than you?"

Ying Jiawu: Well... I guess not?

Wait, was he really living that comfortably?

2.

Xu Chengqi had never met anyone like Ying Jiawu before. He had a pretty face, and deliberately looked at him with eyes no one could refuse.

He was adorable.

Whether he was trying to help with homework and getting every answer wrong, or apologizing with teary eyes after realizing his mistake, he was so adorable.

He was so adorable when he was too dense to realize he was popular, and even thought he was being bullied, so he ran behind Xu Chengqi to ask for protection.

When Xu Chengqi forgot his umbrella on a rainy day and came down with a fever, Ying Jiawu even thought it was his fault.

Ying Jiawu's fault?

Xu Chengqi remembered how he had stood in the rain all afternoon until he got a fever, how he had turned in Ying Jiawu's work despite spotting the wrong answer at a glance, and how he had deliberately made Ying Jiawu fall so he could kiss him, then watched him blush and apologize...

He nodded.

Ying Jiawu was indeed at fault.

His mistake was getting involved with Xu Chengqi. He wasn't getting away for the rest of his life.
