My Roommate Might Not Be Human

Blurb: Because of a falling-out with his father, Jiang Yu leaves home and rents a room for 500 yuan a month. The only downside is that his roommate keeps unusual hours, sleeping by day and going out at night. Every evening, the delicious smell from his room wafts straight into Jiang Yu's. One day, unable to resist any longer, Jiang Yu knocks on his door. A pale boy in a white undershirt sits in the room, fiddling with a machine for making starch sausages. When he sees Jiang Yu, he holds one out to him. "Want one? Three yuan each, or two for five." 2. After getting to know Shen He, Jiang Yu complains that he sleeps all day and goes out at night, just like a vampire. A few days later, Jiang Yu receives an invitation addressed to Shen He and his partner, Jiang Yu, inviting them to a vampire gathering. Partner? Vampire? Gathering? Jiang Yu tosses the invitation to Shen He, completely baffled. Shen He calmly explains: "Partner: a mistake." "Vampires: just cosplay." On the day of the gathering, Jiang Yu tugs on Shen He's sleeve as he watches people come and go. "Did they buy those colored contacts wholesale?" "Their fangs look so real!" "They're so dedicated, even drinking tomato juice." It is only when Jiang Yu goes into the restroom and sees a remarkably convincing vampire grow fangs and sink them into another vampire's neck that he suddenly realizes this might not be a cosplay convention. They're really vampires! Halfway down the road, Jiang Yu grabs Shen He's hand and runs, then suddenly realizes the invitation was addressed to Shen He. Which means... He stiffly turns to look at him, only to see the young man smile innocently, baring his fangs. Fangs? Check. Blood-red eyes? Check. Bloodsucker! Jiang Yu: !!! What do I do? My roommate might not be human. Theme: Help others, but remember to help yourself too.
