Crime Investigation: Edge of the Cliff

# A sickly, ruthless bottom who plays the fool x a flirtatious, laid-back top who becomes obsessively dark later

# After finishing a secret mission, Ying Yue asks to be transferred to a small border town, where he enjoys the carefree life of clocking in and out on time and living off the land.

No one knows the story of how this seemingly frail, sickly young detective once stirred up a storm in a criminal den as deep as an abyss, single-handedly wiped out the bandits, and made it out alive.

That is, until a new squad leader is parachuted into the team. Jiang Youchun is handsome and carefree. The first time he sees Ying Yue, he greets him irreverently: "Fancy seeing you again, old friend."

Ying Yue is at a loss. He dodges Jiang Youchun's provocations and interference time and again, until one early morning Jiang Youchun blocks his doorway, his whole figure hidden in shadow. In a low voice, he warns, "Stop trying to step into the abyss. Luck can only save you once."

Ying Yue doesn't want to deal with him, but Jiang Youchun won't let it go. Finally fed up, he says, "Captain Jiang, we were just friends with benefits who broke up. I thought I handled it with dignity. There's no need to destroy me, is there?"

Only by shutting Jiang Youchun out can Ying Yue once again cross the edge of the cliff and reach the abyss.

Jiang Youchun has had a rival since high school, someone he always competes with, from solving cases and chasing suspects to fitness tests and dating. Neither of them will ever back down.

The other man suddenly vanished without a trace. Jiang Youchun searched for him for a long time, and after they reunited and crossed paths a few times, Ying Yue slapped the label of "ex-friends-with-benefits" on him.

Jiang Youchun laughs in anger and deliberately gets under his skin in revenge: "There's nothing wrong with reminiscing about the good old days with an ex, is there?"

Who knew Ying Yue would agree?

The two trade moves and test each other as they investigate one major murder case after another, gradually making their way into each other's hearts.

Whenever Jiang Youchun tries to take things further, Ying Yue always slips away without a trace, his gaze complicated.

Don't come near me. Danger could swallow you up at any moment.
