Upcoming novel "My Invisible Roommate." An unusual infinite-flow story. Please add it to your collection! Blurb below.
He Yin is a broke guy who joined a drug trial because he needed money. Waking up with amnesia is bad enough, but he also gets two and a half pages' worth of side effects, including:
Cracked eggs veer off course in midair and never land in the frying pan.
Tablecloths he's touched follow him like dogs. When happy, they stiffen into flying carpets and zip around. When sad, they droop like red bridal veils and haunt the place.
When he's cooking, little bits of text saying "Proficiency +1" often float before his eyes. Even sprinkling salt forces him to unlock more than a dozen new techniques.
He Yin: What kind of drug was I testing? They might as well have poisoned me! I'm calling the consumer protection hotline!
But before the call connects, he's swept into a vortex.
Surviving the perilous vortex instances is hard enough. He also has to find time to deal with a whole pile of stupid side effects.
[The unruly egg's attitude toward you has changed from fondness to disgust. From now on, you cannot crack open any eggs.]
The villain, cracking open the egg in question himself: He got beaten up like this with an egg, and the egg still didn't break. This guy's no pushover! I'll change course and cozy up to him. Bro, just say the word if you need anything.
[The onion is throwing a tantrum. You need to comfort it right away, or it will curse you to cry all day.]
Viewers: He's so steady. He doesn't look scared at all, even in a scene this terrifying.
Teammates: No, no, no. That's all an act. You should see him when he cries!
[It has not been comforted and has decided to destroy the world.]
He Yin: ???
[Dining Table Domain activated. Hold a banquet, present delicious dishes, and invite it to dine. Calm its rage and earn its forgiveness.]
From then on, his world changes. Inside and outside the instances, he is always rushing around a strange dining table.
At the far end of the table, some being reaches through a cloud of mist and lifts his chin with tender affection.
He Yin, shoving it away in disgust: I fought my way here with everything I had. It wasn't so I could be served on the table as your meal.
Now shut up! Sit down! Did I say you could eat?
I'm planning to write "My Invisible Roommate" next, and "After Trading Lives with the Mountain God" after that. Please add them to your collection!
A new roommate listing has appeared on the rental platform.
Three bedrooms, one living room, one kitchen, two bathrooms. Pleasant surroundings, cheap rent, a south-facing main bedroom with plenty of sunlight.
The roommate has a superpower: he's invisible. You can act as if he isn't there.
Yu Luan happily moves in and lives peacefully with him for several years.
Until one day, a coworker visits and tells him the place is haunted.
"A superpower? Is that some damn euphemism for being a ghost?"
"Your roommate doesn't just turn invisible. He'll probably show up when a Taoist priest gets involved!"
Yu Luan has a little secret.
Every night after he falls asleep, he turns into an object in an infinite world.
Sometimes he's an overly dramatic greatsword: Thanks for asking. I'm squeamish around blood. I can't chop anyone at all. My blade's shaking like a wavy line.
Sometimes he's an alarm clock: I'm damn bad at counting seconds too. I'll tell you what time it is, so believe it or not!
One day, after falling asleep, he turns into a refrigerator in a haunted house. To stop people from putting random things inside him, he writes a sticky note and slaps it on his face in advance:
Please don't put anything in my mouth besides three dishes and a soup. Thanks!
Then he sees his roommate standing in front of him with a human head in his hand.
Without changing expression, his roommate rips off the sticky note, opens the fridge, and stuffs his belly full of severed limbs.
The next morning, Yu Luan wakes up and throws up over the toilet until the world spins.
His roommate suddenly floats into view and glances at him. "We only slept together once, and you're already pregnant?"
Theme: Fighting against fate.
A new cp is generated Pork and celery, two ingredients that were originally rivals, were forced to be together under the control of fate (He Yin). Both parties were full of disgust (the favorability level was lost) and disliked each other. Even if we have to sleep in the same bed, we have to separate ourselves... (Fighting). But I never thought that during this fight, the feelings would gradually heat up (the water boiled). Later, there was me among you, and you among me. It was such a good story (Winter Solstice: The dumplings are so good, brother, I want to eat them again 🙏) [Applause][Applause][Applause]
Damn, what a disgusting sarcoma
Did I miss some plot? () Why did I drown all of a sudden? [Hold up my chin]
Why! Gone?!
There are too many constraints on Winter Solstice
