Quick, Carry This God Out!

Ming You, once a lofty Water God, violated the laws of heaven and had his divine sinews torn out. Demoted to an insignificant village god, he was forced to hole up in a dilapidated little temple.

The temple was filthy, cramped, and dark. Half-paralyzed, Ming You was confined inside a crude statue, unable to move even a little.

Ming You's greatest wish was to win over a devoted believer who would carry him outside regularly to feel the breeze and bask in the sun, and, ideally, help him get a handsome new statue.

But after neglecting his duties for so long, the villagers, left without divine protection, decided to tear down Ming You's shabby temple and welcome a new god instead.

To save his own life, Ming You had no choice but to pull himself together and fulfill the villagers' wishes.

Fortunately, Ming You found the perfect believer. Not only was the man tall, handsome, and blessed with excellent natural talent, he was also steady and reliable, granting Ming You's every request and helping him regain the villagers' faith.

So, to reward this believer, on a dark and windy night, Ming You revealed his true form, deciding to use his charms for once.

But just as they were pressed close together, divine light suddenly blazed from the believer, transforming him into someone Ming You never wanted to see again.

He seized Ming You by the throat and snarled, "You really haven't changed at all!"

Ming You: ...Help, it's the God of Slaughter!

On New Year's Eve, as was customary, the villagers prepared to carry the village god around the village. As they cheerfully placed the god in his sedan chair, they were astonished to discover that their Lord God had become big-bellied and round. He'd gotten fat!
