Beware of Teammates Who Fake Their Feelings!

In 2198, the paranormal resurged, and a supernatural game called Eclipse swept across the entire world.

"Welcome to the Dark World!"

A clear child's voice rang across the globe. The apocalypse had arrived, and humanity could survive only by continually clearing stages.

.

Fu Zhao is naturally open-minded. Even when she is dragged into an intermediate dungeon on the very first day, she isn't afraid. She carries the team through to victory, then even manages to rescue a teammate along the way.

Watching the beautiful woman beside her, as lovely as a magnolia, casually help finish off their enemies with a surgical knife, each strike lethal, Fu Zhao thinks that having another teammate like this might not be so bad.

.

Wei Shengyue has always known that Fu Zhao, like himself, is perfectly suited to this dark world.

They support each other through countless dungeons. In everyone's eyes, they are the closest of comrades, the most compatible of lovers, and the only ones with a chance of making it through the final level and reclaiming Earth.

But Wei Shengyue also knows that they are different.

Compared to him, Fu Zhao is like a ball of fire, a beam of light, freely giving off warmth and radiance. Her unwavering, steadfast convictions make even the boundless darkness tremble.

A life-giving warmth that inspires both envy and obsession.

.

Before the final level.

A rare bouquet of roses in the Dark World lies scattered across the ground. Their delicate petals whirl through the air as the two fight, then are crushed into the dirt.

The flash of a blade is like snow. Fu Zhao holds a dagger and thrusts it without hesitation into Wei Shengyue's chest.

"Why?" Why betray me?

The young man's spirit is sharp and peerless, as dazzling and impossible to look at as the sun.

"There's no reason."

Because I am the darkness itself.

And darkness and light can never unite.

"Besides, roses really suit you. That part wasn't a lie."

.

Greed, cunning, deceit, hypocrisy, and lies are his instincts.

From the moment he was born, Wei Shengyue knew that he was a creation born from the countless malicious thoughts of humanity, with the mission of overturning humankind etched into his bones.

Until one day, he discovered a faint glimmer of light among the gray and dreary humans. For the first time, this creature of malice became curious and placed himself among them.

He watched that faint glimmer grow at breathtaking speed, until it became a sun that illuminated all things.

Fu Zhao is the bottom, Wei Shengyue is the top: a rising sun and a fallen crescent moon.

I suddenly felt like writing something angsty and satisfying! If you don't mind, come enjoy a tangy, spicy flavor with me (?).

It's a happy ending!
