After I Realized I Was Just a Background Character

This is an infinite-flow novel featuring two powerful leads, a beautiful, tragic, seemingly innocent but secretly calculating bottom and a combat-maxed, unhinged top. They adventure through instances in the infinite world together, gaining members of the protagonist's team along the way, as well as side-character tops one, two, three, four, and five.

They fall helplessly for the beautiful, tragic bottom, willing to live and die for him, and bang their heads against the wall for him.

And me? I'm just a passerby A in the book. I won't act recklessly like cannon fodder in the instances, look for trouble like a villain, or get myself killed like an important supporting character.

I'm just a passerby A, quietly staying alive in the glow of the main couple. I'll be an inconspicuous passerby A, get through the instances, leave the game as soon as possible, and go back to being an obscure passerby A in an ordinary life. I thought that was my life plan.

Until one day, they all went mad.

The protagonist bottom, badly wounded, held me in his arms. With his head resting on my shoulder, he asked softly, "When will you finally see everything I've done?"

The protagonist top stood to one side, holding a sharp blade. He struck the boss with it and sneered, "Lu Tong can only belong to me."

The side-character tops, one through five, presented me with the best things they could find in different instances, all just to get me to look at them a little longer.

Why were they doing this? I'm just a passerby A! Oh, right. My name is Lu Tong.

Reader's guide:

1. The story is told in third person and is an unconventional infinite-flow novel.

2. The protagonist is a passerby A in the literal sense. In his eyes, any romantic entanglements involving the original novel's main couple and side characters, as well as the plot developments, are all normal. There will be descriptions from the passerby A's perspective, but no lengthy, detailed depictions.

3. The original novel's main couple and some side characters have one-sided feelings for the passerby A. This doesn't mean there will be plotlines showing their relationships with him developing.

4. This isn't a love interest selection story, and the characters aren't fragments of one person. There is another true love interest.

The arrogant, cold top number one gives Lu Ningxing a chilly look as he opens the bathroom door while he's showering. He's about to curse him out when Lu Ningxing pulls out a bath scrubber and asks, "Your hand's injured, so you can't scrub your back, right? Want me to do it for you?"

The abstinent top student, top number two, sees Lu Ningxing stealing his clothes again. He's about to catch him red-handed and kick him out of the dorm, but Lu Ningxing pulls out a bag of detergent. "Hand-washed clothes are cleaner. I'll wash them for you, too."

The carefree top number three returns to the dorm for once and sees Lu Ningxing sneaking around his desk again. He's about to go over and tease him, but when he gets closer, he sees Lu Ningxing putting a set of notes on his desk. "You're back. I made this week's lecture notes for you."

The three alphas gradually realize that this white lotus seems to have changed, and is starting to look a little... like a perfectly straight lotus stem.

Lu Ningxing tries everything he can to complete the System's mission, just so he can earn enough money to get gland surgery and escape this dorm full of men.

The day he finally saves enough, Lu Ningxing suddenly hears the System scream in despair: "What did you do?! Why have all three of them fallen for you instead of the protagonist, and started to hate you less?!"

Lu Ningxing is troubled. It seems he failed his mission, but it doesn't matter. He's earned enough for the gland surgery anyway.

Later, Lu Ningxing realizes that failing the mission is a huge problem! A really huge problem!

Why are the three love interests, who were supposed to have a tumultuous romance with the original protagonist, always clinging to him?! And why has his omega older brother secondarily differentiated into an alpha?

Not only that, he's bitten and marked the gland Lu Ningxing just had surgery on!
