Little Love Poem

[A secret crush comes true / Reunion after a long separation]

In high school, Yu Shi's best friend and deskmate was obsessed with the school heartthrob. She dragged Yu Shi to the athletic field to watch him play basketball, then said excitedly, "He's so handsome! Look!"

Yu Shi followed her gaze, but at just one glance, her eyes settled on the person beside him.

He was passionate and bold, the secret she'd kept locked in her heart throughout her youth.

When they graduated, she saw that he'd posted a photo with the girl he'd liked for a long time. Someone commented: They're official! Congratulations!

She liked the post, quickly unliked it, then deleted him from WeChat.

Years passed, and they never heard from each other again.

They met again at a boxing club. He wore a black T-shirt, with black bandages wrapped around his hands. The boyish boldness of his youth had completely disappeared, replaced by the wild, untamed edge of a grown man.

When she generously offered him the belated congratulations, he looked baffled. "She and I were never together. Teacher Yu, why are you playing matchmaker?"

Yu Shi: "..."

So it had all been a misunderstanding...

Cen Xiao thought Yu Shi liked his friend, so he always kept his feelings in check and observed proper boundaries with her. Then one time, he lost control after drinking and kissed her. Afterward, he finally decided to "declare war" on his friend and compete fairly for her affection.

One day, he cornered Yu Shi in the boxing gym's lounge. He still had a bruise from where she'd hit him, yet he held her chin in place and kissed her until she could barely breathe. "Could you fall for me again?"

University lecturer vs. boxing coach

Gentle and steadfast x cocky, handsome, and devoted

Slow burn, both leads are romantically inexperienced

Theme: Be honest and openhearted, and strive toward the light
