The Wind Stirs the Curtain

In her previous life, Xue Fuyan was an empress of incomparable beauty. Sadly, her life was short. After seven years of pining for Xiao Jing, she was rewarded with a cup of poisoned wine. When she awoke again, she had become Sun Yujin, a palace brewer with a facial defect. Forced to enter the treacherous imperial palace once more, she had to keep her identity hidden, treading carefully and planning every step. But even the best-laid plans can go awry. When Xiao Jing grew suspicious, she used Cen Lie, a Martial Guard, as her lifeline, claiming she had long been in love with him.

But to her utter surprise, Cen Lie accepted her story to avoid an arranged marriage. The two entered into a fake marriage, each pursuing their own ends.

At first they kept clear boundaries and stayed out of each other's affairs. Then one day, Xue Fuyan accidentally entered Cen Lie's secret chamber and found a portrait of a woman hanging inside.

When she got a good look, she froze.

Wasn't that her from her previous life?
