Duloxetine

"You are my duloxetine, the only medicine that can save me in my lonely, barren world."

(Stubborn, delicate hand-sign-language instructor x gentle older piano tuner)

Wen Du grew up with an abusive father, and her mother died when she was young. She suffers from depression, yet remains independent and stubborn. When she doesn't know what her goal in life should be, she remembers her dream from years ago: "Wen Du will keep finding ways to save herself and become an amazing sign language teacher."

After both their parents start new families, Wen Du becomes the only person Shi Ting cares about. For more than twenty years, they are the most important people in each other's lives.

Every note he plays is filled with his love and fantasies about Wen Du. But isn't she his medicine, too?

(Choosing sunshine in adversity) (A broken childhood, childhood sweethearts, leaning on and saving each other, years of unrequited love, like a brother and father, depression, a somewhat abstinent, gentle, hopelessly love-struck male lead)

(Please note: Includes a few scenes of depression episodes. The leads have a daughter. The novel has a gentle, unhurried pace.)

Theme: No matter how much hardship you face, you can only save yourself
