The Scribe

Lu Qing is the one who writes the world. One day, as usual, she went to the human realm to learn about love, hate, and all the feelings in between. When she returned, she was in a sorry state.

She had become entangled in several lives in the human realm and could no longer detach herself from their emotions.

In the human world, people fall in love and come to understand each other. The deeper these experiences, the more vividly she feels them, until at last she pours those emotions into the life journey of the next person.

Since returning from this latest lesson, she has often dreamed.

In her dreams: a girl's smile, a boy's tears, seven years of waiting, and a moment when someone reveals more than a dozen emotions all at once.

She can even hear their conversations... They linger even when she closes her eyes, and her heart aches along with every word.

She sees the texture of this world and describes a summer that is hard to put into words, one that belongs to only one person's life.
