After Being Dumped, I Became the Heiress's Moonlight

Rong You's study-abroad days are drawing to a close.

In other people's eyes, she's gorgeous and flirtatious, breezing through a throng of admirers without getting attached to anyone, living a carefree and exciting life.

Only Rong You knows that her long student career is about to end, and she's never even had a campus romance.

After she pours her heart out to a friend, the friend takes her to a party.

Amid the luxurious decor and dazzling lights, Rong You spots the woman seated beside the host's chair at a glance.

The woman sits there quietly, her refined, composed air setting her apart from all the surrounding noise.

Fu Ningjing looks over with eyes glimmering with flecks of light and softly asks Rong You, "What's your name?"

Beneath the champagne flute she offers are Fu Ningjing's long, jade-white fingertips.

That night, at Fu Ningjing's house, Rong You kisses those pale fingers again and again.

After a few months, Rong You has acquired a taste for Fu Ningjing.

Even when her friend tells her that Fu Ningjing's background is unfathomable, she doesn't take it to heart.

Rong You carefully prepares for Fu Ningjing's birthday, hoping to confess her feelings that day and put their relationship on the right track.

But by the time daylight comes the next morning, the candles on the cake have burned out, and Fu Ningjing still hasn't appeared.

Only then does Rong You find out that Fu Ningjing is the heir to a famous multinational conglomerate, with money, prestige, and status all at the very top. She even has a marriage alliance arranged with someone else.

On a rainy night, when Fu Ningjing faces Rong You's questions, the tenderness is gone from her eyes.

Looking at Rong You in disarray, she says nonchalantly, "If I marry someone else, does that affect us being together?"

Rong You finally sees the truth: she's just one of Fu Ningjing's many diversions.

She packs her things and flies away that very night, disappearing from Fu Ningjing's world.

When they meet again, Rong You is chatting and laughing with the woman beside her at her team's celebration banquet.

When she sees Fu Ningjing, her new boss who was parachuted into the position, her expression doesn't change. She greets her with, "Hello, Ms. Fu."

After the banquet, Fu Ningjing loses control and corners Rong You in the hallway. Her anger and hurt have been held back for too long, and her eyes redden at the corners. "Why did you leave me?"

Rong You simply smiles and slips free of Fu Ningjing's hand, replying as casually as if it were nothing, "Ms. Fu, were we ever together?"

P.S.:

1. A seemingly flirtatious but actually devoted student abroad x a seemingly refined and aloof but actually pleasure-seeking rich woman

2. They reunite after a breakup, happy ending, one-on-one throughout

3. Same-sex marriage is legal in this setting
