[Jujutsu Kaisen] It's All Feudal Superstition

Scientific studies have proven that staying up late can cause serious harm to the body.

I was working on a major rewrite of my paper in the library late at night when I woke up to find myself suddenly in a wilderness survival scenario.

For the record, I’m a materialist. I firmly believe that every ghost and demon will vanish in the face of objective facts.

After giving the local troublemakers a sound beating, I resolutely moved to the remote mountains, with their pristine environment, to enjoy some peace and quiet on my own.

One day, after I had settled into the simple life of a country village, I came face-to-face with a strange-looking, unidentified creature.

Let me reiterate: I am a steadfast materialist.

So it was all feudal superstition, which stood no chance against the iron fist of materialism.

And so I began a life of mutual dependence with the child I rescued from the creature’s mouth.

A few things to know before reading:

· This story is told in third person. The protagonist is a firm materialist [not really]. It’s a familiar transmigration setup: a modern person transmigrates to the Heian period.

· Inspiration struck late at night, and I dug a new hole in a burst of enthusiasm.

· The male lead is an older gentleman who’s a bit more down-to-earth than in the original.

Theme: Keep your feet firmly on the ground.
