After a Lazy Fish Marries the Frail Prince to Bring Him Good Fortune

Li Zhi is transported into an old-fashioned novel and becomes the unloved second son born to a concubine in the Prime Minister's household.

His stepmother is cruel and his father indifferent, so he is forced to take his legitimate older sister's place and marry Prince Ling, who is gravely ill and unconscious, in the hope that the wedding will bring him good fortune.

Prince Ling, Chao Wenyu, commands the southwestern army and is the emperor's younger brother. Unfortunately, after winning a battle on the southwestern frontier, he suddenly fell gravely ill on his way back to the capital. Now he lies unconscious, with no sign of waking. His illness is said to be so dangerous that only marrying his destined partner and holding a wedding to bring him good fortune can turn his fate around.

They say Prince Ling is the richest man in the entire capital.

What a shame that Heaven envies the talented, and that his life is so short!

If Li Zhi marries the prince and he dies one day, won't Li Zhi be able to take charge of that enormous manor himself?

Li Zhi: "I'll marry him! I'll do it tomorrow!"

After moving into the prince's manor, Li Zhi has to wash and massage the prince every day.

Since the prince can't hear him anyway, Li Zhi chats away to him for ages each day.

"Your servants bullied me again today!"

"The Crown Prince went out of his way to give me a hard time today."

"Being a prince's consort is no fun at all. If you don't wake up soon, I'm running away. Anyone can be your consort for all I care. I'm done with this."

Then the next day, he sees the prince, who has been unconscious for ages, leaning against his pillow. His gaze is piercing, with a hint of something hard to read.

"You are my consort?"
