Red Chick

Before the age of twelve, Xu Ning was called a prodigy, a girl destined for great things. But when she was twelve, her father died in the line of duty and her mother was transferred away from home. Xu Ning fell from her lofty place as a prodigy, and no one cared anymore whether she excelled.

It was as if her excellence constantly reminded everyone that her father was dead.

At seventeen, her high school homeroom teacher dies under mysterious circumstances, in a manner eerily similar to her father's death. Xu Ning decides to uncover the truth with her own hands.

"Red fledgling: a name for the plan to bring home the children stained red with blood."
