Dong Wei fell on her way to her eight o'clock class. When she woke up, she'd transmigrated into a male-oriented political intrigue novel.

Her stepmother and biological father only care about her younger stepsister, who isn't yet of marriageable age but is already skilled at acting fragile. They use the estate and land her mother left her to bully a farm girl who has only just turned sixteen.

Dong Wei has never put up with this kind of treatment. She rises up on the spot: "Stay if you want. If you don't, get lost!" She takes refugees to reclaim wasteland and grow crops, and tears into her vile stepmother and father. "You want my useless fiance? Take him! I don't want him anyway!"

Before long, Dong Wei somehow becomes the refugees' leader, the head of the estate in all but name!

Dong Wei: "Let's keep a low profile."

In the third year of the Great Wei, the number of displaced people grows ever larger. Dong Wei and her gang rob a young gentleman on the highway. Looking at her weakly, he says, "I'm in poor health. Could you perhaps make an exception?"

Dong Wei recognizes him at once. Isn't this Jiang Jian, the male lead of the book? In the original story, Jiang Jian takes to the battlefield at fifteen. He's the nephew of the current emperor, but despite being a member of the royal family, he refuses to serve it and brazenly covets his uncle's throne.

Dong Wei: "I think you've got some interesting ideas, but maybe don't think about them just yet."

Because the first thing Jiang Jian does after taking power is wipe out their estate! Since Jiang Jian is down on his luck right now, Dong Wei makes a snap decision. "We're family now, so no need to stand on ceremony. From now on, your brother is my brother, and my brother is yours. Nothing will ever change that!"

Her followers: "...What?"

After that, the name of a pair of male-and-female bandits gradually spreads across Jiangnan, ringing throughout the entire Great Wei.
