After that, Shui Sha began having strange dreams she could barely bring herself to talk about.

In them, damp, sticky tentacles wrapped tightly around her, crawling slowly over every inch of her body as if they meant to claim her for themselves.

Shui Sha woke in the middle of the night, certain there was someone else in the room. But when she turned on the light, there was no one there.

Huddled in the corner of her bed with the blankets clutched to her, she murmured "Brother" through tear-filled eyes.

After Shui Sha cried herself to sleep, the black shadow in an ignored corner of the room suddenly grew larger.

Shui Sha went with her childhood friends to a nature resort to relax and clear her head.

That evening, everyone played games together. With a mischievous grin, one of her friends brought out an adult version of Truth or Dare.

Shui Sha lost and chose a dare as her punishment.

-Choose someone of the opposite sex here and eat a Pocky stick face-to-face. The part left uneaten must be less than 2 cm.

Shui Sha asked the boy next door to help her complete the challenge. As they drew closer, lightning flashed outside, and she suddenly saw that the person biting the Pocky stick with her was her brother!

But when she blinked, the face was still the boy next door's.

Thinking she'd imagined it, Shui Sha chose Truth the next time she lost.

"Do you love your brother?"

At the familiar voice, Shui Sha froze.

Lightning flashed again. This time, she saw clearly: her dead brother was sitting right across from her.

The good news: Her brother came back from the dead.

The bad news: Her brother is now something like an alien.

Something strange happened at the resort where they were staying. Overnight, the signal went dead, the food rotted, and the beach was littered with countless washed-up dead fish and shrimp.

On the night panic gave way to utter despair, everyone saw bizarre creatures crawling out of the walls, again and again.

Her brother had barely come back to life when he died again protecting her.

Shui Sha clutched her brother's body and sobbed until she could barely breathe. Then she turned around and saw one of his tentacles clinging to the side of her water glass.

Shui Sha reached out, and the soft tentacle stuck to her with a wet plop.

She gripped her brother tightly in her hand, her gaze resolute:

As long as the green hills remain, there will be no shortage of firewood!

After her brother's funeral, Shui Sha was sorting through his belongings when a notebook fell out among the clutter. It was his diary.

Unable to resist, she peeked inside. At first, it was full of ordinary details about his studies and daily life. But the further she read, the stranger it became. His handwriting grew increasingly erratic, until it was impossible to make out what he was writing.

On the last page, the paper was covered in dense, twisted words written in blood, repeated over and over:
